StarCraft II has entered its beta phase and StarCraft: Legacy is proceeding with its examination of any aspect we can scrutinize. Our staff has diligently played the game for several weeks now, and this is the first of many editorials bringing forth in-depth examination of the many complex aspects of Blizzard's sequel to the greatest RTS of all time. The first aspect of the game we're looking into is the aspect of the game that many other games have opted away from: from Dawn of War II removing almost all of the base building from its multiplayer, to Command and Conquer 4 creating mobile bases with nearly no resource mechanics, and a higher focus on "Capture Node" playstyles. StarCraft II has paved forward and rejected these changes to stay true to its original model.
