What fantasy are you living in? In the book QoB he needed Tassadar to help fight Kerrigan, and they both got whooped.
In WoL Zeratul didn't even hurt Kerrigan who apparently has instantaneous regeneration.
I've never read any of the SC books so I can't comment on those. But Zeratul definitely gets the better of Kerrigan in that fight scene.
Not only did he break through her stasis ability thing, but he just barely missed cutting her head off. Kerrigan seemed very surprised at his abilities. And regrowing ure wing-thingy can't feel very good.
+ Zeratul doesn't want to kill Kerrigan cause shes the "savior" or w/e (or does he know about that at this point???) so he was probably holding back a lil'.
....Though he did seem to get some sort of tennis elbow for no apparent reason

He doesn't know about Kerrigan yet, but yeah she apparently kicked him or something. The injury can't be that bad since he goes on to fight in 3 new missions after that, yet still has the tennis elbow when he finds Raynor on the Hyperion.

....That's true eh? They must of cut out that scene where Zeratul has to block kicks from Kerrigan:
And that just proves how bad-ass Zeratul is. Even with tennis elbow he gets the job done!

I guess they changed how he go the tennis elbow, to the part when he tries to kill Kerrigan through her shield that was holding him back. If you watch the video, after that he has the tennis elbow. I'm guessing they removed the scene where blocks the kicks because it makes Kerrigan look bad.
While we're still off topic.....There's alot that Blizzard left out. Especially regarding the original trailer:
Looking at the last minute of the video (everything but Tychus) you can see some hints on what the future of the SC universe might hold?
Obviously this video was made before Blizzard decided to split everything up into a trilogy. So arguably hints of the entire storyline are hidden within this cinematic.
There's 7 total snippets of possible storyline hints:
-First there's a flaming Hydralisk attack (no sign of "the cave" in the scene), so anyones guess is good at this point.
-Then there is a Hellion flying through a Terran city. Maybe connected with the leaked HOTS video ending? Maybe their transport to get to mengsk??
-Then "the kick" which has been removed for some reason. But has already happened in the storyline.
-The canyon Mutalisk shot, which I think is connected to the Leviathan artwork. which is probably connected to the whole Pandora like world take over seen in other artwork
-Then the Hydra blast which has "the cave" in the background so also probably left out for some reason.
-Kerrigan eyes which, again, has "the cave". Left out for some reason.
-And last but not least; a Terran city getting nuked, which I don't even have a guess on how it's connected to the storyline.... Anyone?
I can't see why Blizzard would throw away CGI animation like this, so maybe they'll throw all the taken out "cave scenes" as a flashback dream of Zeratul (WC3 Thrall opening anyone?)
Everything elts is free for interpretation.

I think u are looking slightly too deep into this.. you can find useless of meaninless animations in many many trailers in many many many games from many many many many companies. Some scenes just dont make the final cut, you cant expect game makers to not have trial and error and only make stuff they will end up using.
first of all Banshee not hellion
The reason why blizzard throwed away those cinematics is that they had ideas on them, yet they were short on time to work on the storyline, so they put some cinematics that are using the engine
even because of those cut CGI's you can judge that they didn't work long enough on the story
like DemoSquid said, we are treated like mindless kids who will buy their self-called devotion to the series and universe ...
SC2 did not happened, SC2 does not have a singleplayer campaign, SC2 is only about multiplayer nothing else ...

Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up
Had to go with Zera-something-else. He defiantly wasn't cool old cat, fool & tool just doesn't click what I'm trying to come up with. "Hurm..." He and all rest of the oldies just weak ghosts of their former glory all I can say. Thats a sad fact.
The 12 years of pre-SC2 lore speculations was far entertaining that WoL imo!
