IIRC Kerrigan was not exactly "beautiful" before SC2. One detail was that her eyes where far apart from each other and she had a wide mouth. (This factions may be seen in her ghost portrait and her Queen of Blades portrait in StarCraft I). Wide mouth was probably left out during the development of StarCraft II.

As for Tychus... Well Terrans are a bunch of mutant humans and androids.

Aside from these... Blizzard has a bulky, big, big, fancy, exaggerated style of art.

So did you always feel that way demo, or are you just nitpicking now since you're all butt hurt over wol not being up to your standards?

And don't get me wrong, the idea of a human woman getting infested by a biology altering alien race and coming out of her chrysalis with permanent high heels IS juvenile. It just seems you hate pretty much everything blizzard. I find it hard to believe you were ever a fan.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

DemolitionSquid is from Venus, Spychi is from Mars. We are from Earth. We will never understand their alien ways

I don't disagree with everything they say out of hand, I just find it impossible to understand some of spychis opinions and demos facts.

And I'm puzzled that spychi could be so in love with Mass Effect 2 and yet have an abosulte hate for the WoL campaign considering that they've got several problems in common.

For the record, I like both of them despite their flaws, and I think that I slightly favour ME2.

I had huge expectations with the SC2 story, with ME2 as well
ME2 story is beyond my initial thoughts
SC2 is not even close to the lowest prediction I could think of
ME2 is beyond awesomness, epic and whatnot
SC2 has nothing epic in it, despite the one cinematic before All In mission everything else is just pale and stupid

Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up

ME2 easily had better dialouge, and I did like the whole band of brothers thing it had, it's just that I wanted the crew collection missions to be more central and for the loyalty system to not be such an utterly tacked on game mechanic. I don't think that this is an unreasonable expectation considering that ME2 is 90% "TIM: Shepard, your mission is to collect a kick ass team of ass kickers..." and 10% "...while I, The Illusive Man, work on the main plot of trying to finding a way to go boldly where no man has gone before. Oh, and I'm also going to try and screw you over in the meanwhile. Repeatedly. glhf" WoL also had plenty of room to improve the main narrative, but I believe SCL knows this well enough without needing a reminder.

Of course I have much more to say of both games, both positive and negative, but the above is just the first that came to mind.

I just don't like being treated as a child.

I loved the campaign in SC1, and still do. The story was engaging, the characters were deep and well voiced. The Zerg were brutal and the blood was graphic; the betrays always hurt because I cared about the characters. I also love Diablo 1 and 2 because they are mature and viceral. I could never get into WarCraft because it is bright and frilly and juvenile in comparison. Wheras I loved playing Dragon Age, another fantasy game with dragons and elves, because it was more mature and treated me as such.

I do not hate everything Blizzard. What I hate is getting a watered down, predictable plot and one-dimensional static characters reminding me of what I've already known for 10 years.
