Does Spawn Infested Terrans break your suspension of disbelief?

Its assumed that there are terrans at a terran base. It is not assumed that there are terrans on every world where Protoss are fighting Zerg.

Let me ask you this. Would you have a problem if the infestation pit was an infested command center?

They just pull Terran corpses they've collected from their invasions all over the universe. There are marines SOMEWHERE. They brought them with them to the planet. It might not be 'logical' but it makes perfect sense.

But, that's exactly how I feel about Spawn Infested Terran's Lore, the explanation is believable (common sense even) but just plain unacceptable. Blizzard can do much better, this is not perfection.

Useable material that doesn't require minerals or gas. Same reason the player would chose to use Spawn Infested Marines over Hydralisks.

Ultralisks are a lot bigger than dead terran marines, and they also cost minerals and gas, and they're not dead/incubated.

Because the mechanic requires you to come up with this whole complicated scenario for how the marines arrive inside the infestor. Its not like marines are going to pop up on a planet with no terran and your not going to notice they are out of place.


And ultralisks dont cost minerals and gas if you bring them from somewhere else. They are already made. And this is still overlooking the fact that its not really infestation. It some kind of wierd reinforcement thing.

"Ripley, Ive scanned the ship and I have bad news. A Xenomorph is aboard and to make matters worse it has other Xenomorphs bringing it dead bodies from another ship. And those dead bodies are going to turn into the Xenomorphs that are going to come get us."
