Yet Another Plot Hole...

Not something for certain yet but during the campaign, Hanson mentions that the Artifact acts like a dry sponge around Protoss and would absorb the life right out of them if brought in close proximity to them. But if that was true, how do the Tal'darim worship them? Wouldn't they have died by being in close proximity to them?

Unless the theory is wrong, in which case, why mention it? Granted, this isn't a confirmed plot hole but I reckon it's to be looked out for, especially since I reckon this effect on Protoss is likely to come up again (specifically in LotV).

They're broken and guarded by the protoss because the protoss don't want them turned into a weapon.

I dunno... from my understanding of the conversation (specifically Hanson's use of the plural 'they'), it sounds like Hanson was referring to the separate Artifact fragments.

Did you know that they hired a new writer a year before the release? It wasn't a plot hole, it was time constraints. I'm going to expect the HotS script to be a lot less rushed. The leak doesn't count, the new writer wasn't hired then.

I guess that their old SCII lead writer (if it had one) quit or something... I'm assuming that Chris was paying attention and wouldn't have left it to the last minute if he thought the old script writer sucked.

Whatever. Hopefully this last minute change in lead writer will mean a higher standard of script from HotS. Brian actually wrote some of the good ME2 NPCs.
