Thread: [Discussion] Community RPG Anyone?

I think it works better if I don't maintain a character of my own. That way, I'd be in a better position to help develop the plot (or rather throw curveballs at people) at all fronts. Moreover, it would help prevent me from developing a bias since players don't need permission to interact with any NPCs (including ones I use) where as any disputes while trying to interact with my character would be arbitrated by... well, me.

So, by stepping back, I'll be better able to maintain objective.

This sounds more like the traditional GM/DM. I was just trying to figure out a way that didn't include something like trying to run a D&D game over the net and on a forum.

Yeaaaah... speaking of which, what are the limitations? PG-13?

Also - I predict everyone will be hitting on Sarov and GRUNT's characters.

Well... She's mysterious, has grey eyes, long hair, and an exotic accent. Although you'd have to be very careful because bad things tend to happen around her. A lot.

That reminds me... We should include an 'Appearance' section of the bio, I have no idea what your characters look like and I haven't described mine anywhere.

I think this should include not only physical appearance, but the way the character carries themself, their accent, any peculiar ticks, etc.

    Yea or nay?

Considering mr.peasant said we can 'jazz up' the character sheet any way we want, I doubt he'll have any problem with us adding an 'Appearance' section.

And also since I have slight OCD, I suggest that we all put that section right before 'Motivation' to keep things uniform.

Actually, I did put a bit of her appearance in the character profile: her hair color (black), and her eye color (grey). However, for this RP, I decided not to include the appearance or mannerism since it would detract from my entrance post. It's no fun if you know that information (mannerisms, quirks, etc) right off the bat. At least in regards to my character. After all, I didn't put down her motivations or her history. It's all about the mystery.
