I didn't go through all 19 pages of this thread(having a life and all that), but from what I skimmed over - why all the disappointment?
I was fairly certain that HotS would be when Mengsk dies, I find it hard to believe anyone is actually shocked at this revelation. The fact that Kerrigan is good is also obvious from WoL's ending. Even the the thing about the zerg being no one's slaves is, I believe, hinted at in the books where Kerrigan is trying to make them sentient.
There are only two things I find questionable in this video:
1) The part about Kerrigan leaving with the zerg. Personally, I think this is just Kerrigan dramatically phrasing something that ultimately means nothing. It's obvious she, not to mention the entire zerg race, will not be absent in LotV. The only other meaning I can think of, would be that she won't be using her newly regained HUGE ASS ARMADA to help you out in LotV.
2) The device Mengsk uses to disable Kerrigan. Worst case scenario - that was a flashback of him implanting her way before she was infested and he'd just... forgotten he had such a device. Yeah, that sucks on way too many levels. But considering the girl in the tube had a barcode on her forehead, I doubt that was really Kerrigan. It's more likely that it was some kind of clone that has a psionic link with the real Kerrigan. Yeah, a little dumb, but if handled correctly could make sense.
I was really conflicted on whether I should watch this or not, not wanting to spoil anything. Well, I watched it, and I really don't feel like I spoiled anything. It's pretty much exactly how I expected it to go, apart from the things that we can't be sure what they mean.

After mulling over this cinematic & watching it again...I actually kinda like it. The music is pretty badass and when Kerrigan flies through the viking as well as lifts & destroys all those units DBZ-style with a badass pose is pretty sweet. Also, she actually decapitates Mengsk with her claws, it just doesn't show it. Zerg leaving to roam the stars is still lame though.

The Zerg leave to create a plot hole which the next chapter will fill. They end every chapter like that.

At least they could still change the talk in that scene.

My only disappointment is that a male character comes in to save the day.
It's a common re-occurrence in media/film that female protagonists are privy to their male companions and etc...
All I know is the most memorable Female character for me in all media is Ripley
The reason why Kerrigan was loved so much in SC1 was due to her deep and complex character. Now she's a Zerg Cattle Herder and striking deals with drunkard space cowboys.
Other than that, the entire thing was expected.

Im calling BS, lol the ending seems way to contrived and typical and nothing is resolved. WoL's ending was forseen because that's what the Protoss campaign warns Jim about - kerrigan must stay alive. If kerrigan dies the hybrids take control - you can't "free" the zerg without killing the false hybrids.
