If Mengsk had a kill switch for Kerrigan all this time... why did he have to go through all this business of hiring Tychus? Why would he even need to ally himself with Kerrigan in Brood Wars to get back Tarsonis from the UED? Wouldn't it be easier just to say, oh I don't know, hold the proverbial gun to her head and force her to do his bidding this entire time? Or kill her when they were close, like when she killed Duke?

Hey look, don't get me wrong, I actually defended the WoL narrative elsewhere, but this cinematic is just too much even for me... assuming it's real. Don't Blizzard have their own internal department for cinematics? I can't for the life of me see why Blizz would outsource something like this. Maybe they'd outsorce a trailer, or some of the small shit like infested Hanson, but this? No fucking way.

Based on what I've come across recently, I have no doubt. But yes, I get how you mean. I was utterly devastated myself.

I'm hoping for a change in direction and story, but it's highly unlikely they'd take that route.
