Louis,
It may be an almost 2 year old previs without lip syncing, but it was posted alongside a similarly 2 year old previs that turned out be an almost identical version of WOL's "New Getysburg" cutscene.
Does this mean we know for sure they would do the same for this previs too? Of course not, but it's not illogical to speculate that they very well might.
- So, Gerard, I suspect you have a good reason for pulling me away from my Duties.
- Your Vodka can wait, my good Alexi.

That is true, and it didn't seem like such a mocking thing to say at the time. Sorry about that. But I still don't quite get why it is a bad thing if it is real. It seems to be overflowing with all of the grimdark that the fans adore BW for, what with Jim betraying his own blue suits to help Kerrigan kill Mengsk, and then Kerrigan decapitating him. And hopefully the end speech was to imply that the Zerg are now becoming their own characters isntead of merely an extension of another. They haven't had their own character since SC1 part 2 where the overmind tool Aiur, so I'd be glad to see Zerg queens and/or cerebrates take on a major role. As for Mengsks win button, it's obviously a plot hole until we see the rest of the game.
I've asked about this a few pages ago, but most you are too caught up in complaining to speculate on any of the more likeable parts.

Yeah, it's definitely grimdark, especially when decapitation entails using a flashbang effect. It seems to be overflowing with all of the grimdark that the fans adore BW for, what with Jim betraying his own blue suits to help Kerrigan kill Mengsk, and then Kerrigan decapitating him.

Not to mention, that nobody is worried about music or lip sync, and it's obviously a very early preview video.
I quite like the video, however. They should fix the implant part, i don't see any way she could still have an implant, and not know about it. Also, it was done before. Is it that Mengsk has a kill device for everyone in the Koprulu sector?![]()

Yeah, it does seem odd that she wouldn't know about the implant. Didn't she go into the Amerigo science vessel specifically to get some research data on her own brain? Well I suppose that was a bit different.I quite like the video, however. They should fix the implant part, i don't see any way she could still have an implant, and not know about it. Also, it was done before. Is it that Mengsk has a kill device for everyone in the Koprulu sector?
In any case, I wonder if a psi screen would ever work against Kerrigan...
Also, what do you mean it was done before? You mean Gestalt Zero? Yeah, that guy was a badass, prepared himself to counter the psi screen. Kerrigan is WEAK.

Two good guys killing a bad guy in the name of "truth, justice and the American way" is "grimdark" now? And anyway, isn't it a somewhat shallow way of defining what made people appreciate BW? You may be speaking of the bare facts of the scene, but mood-wise it is nowhere near Brood War (or even the original StarCraft for that matter).
And anyway, if you've read the thread you'd know that (at least) my issues with the whole scene are quite different from the ones you're refuting.

I was talking about kill devices. As you know, Mengsk had a kill device on Tychus armor, which was there to give "tension" to WoL's ending. Are they also going to use a kill device to bring "tension" to HotS's ending? Not to mention, that the attempt to create tension was fail in WoL and is also in HotS, but that's maybe just me, as i don't really ever cared if Kerrigan lives or dies.
