Default Garimto shares his thoughts on SC2

Garimto, a pro gamer who hasn't played professionally for 2 years, has taken a step into the spotlight at Seoul 2009 to show off Starcraft 2. Teamliquid managed to translate an interview with him and his opinions. No new information is revealed, but opinions of those who played the game are never a poor thing.

    - How do you think Starcraft 2 will fare as an e-sports game?
▲ I think that not just Starcraft players, but all other players of competitive games can play the game. And frankly speaking, Starcraft 2 has the highest possibility of taking in the most number of progamers from other games.

AH Boxer's old nemesis. I agree with his thoughts on old gamers feeling more comfortable with SC2. It's a brand new playing field, and their creativity can shine again, which is what always set them apart from the "macrobots" of todays SC1 pro scene. Very exciting stuff! Boxer did a short interview recently where he implied he may make a similar transition for similar reasons.

Agreed. I can't wait to see what the new (or veteran) professionals will come up with when SC2 comes out.

StarCraft 2 will bring eSport to another level. No doubt that it will be awesome.

Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up

So agreed! The whole new playing field will also allow newcomers to try things fresh and different...whereas in SC1 pretty much everything has already been tried, SC2 levels the playing field in a certain way.

▲ It is very fun. Most people were worried with thoughts such as, "If you make everything so easy, what are we supposed to do?" But now, the game is more centered around decision-making and your focus. Any decision you make will be critical, and of course, it has become even more important that you make your decisions after knowing what your opponent is doing. That is the most beautiful thing about Starcraft 2.
In the case of Protoss, you can now warp in units, but the army combination you warp in is more important than your macro. That is how decision and focus-based this game is.
Ha! I knew it from the beginning. Now, a pro-gamer is saying it. The old pros are returning... the new pros will tremble with their coming!!!
