OMG Sentry!

Hi guys, I'm an ok silver leaguer and I have recently come across an awesome build. It involves heavy sentry and hallucination play. It works very well against zerg as you can scare them into corrupters, and you get very good scouting intel. You can also take advantage of the shields. So, anyone have anything to say? Best way to use this build, thoughts, etc.

You didn't even mention what you hallucinated...
Do people still use corruptors to kill collossi? Is that what you're making?

Basically, if you're massing sentries so you can make collossi... any idiot can figure out you're hallucinating units since you couldn't have such a large gas income. Your damage output will be really low so you'll still get rolled by nearly any army composition.

Using hallucinate with a more standard composition to make a handful of zealots (soaking damage) might be more worthwhile.
On the other hand, while I doubt cute plays or "trickery" are the best way to move out of silver, you should still have fun with it while it still works... but it seems pretty obvious that you're relying heavily on your opponents' mistakes...

This, basically. If it goes into lategame with heavy colossi it doesn't matter if he's fooled or not as long as he's shooting the wrong colossi's.

Anyway, yes I am relying heavily on my opponent's mistakes. I have now improved upon this build to make a semi early game rush. Sentries, Zealots, and a few Stalkers with good measure. This works every time VS terran and zerg, it's a bit iffy vs toss though.

As for the stuff I am hallucinating, it's usually void rays or phoenix for a good scout and forcing my idiot opponent into mass anti air.

As to this being effective. It can work for your first push but most likely your opponent will realize what you are doing and bring observers,overseers or scans.
