In my opinion (not that it matters), Story = Meh. Mediocre, nothing much.

The dialouge was, however, by far, quite subpar in quite a few cases and places.

If anyone, I'd love to get the old Kerrigan back, but I can live with the current actors as long as they get better lines than what whoever wrote the Eragon movie screenplay can come up with. Yes, it was that bad. To my ears, at least.

Tricia Helfer was amazing in BSG.

Sadly, she was not so amazing as Kerrigan. It could have been the lines or the direction, though.

I don't like Kerrigan's voice or portrait in Starcraft 2. I am too young to know so tell me: they changed the Starcraft 1 sounds over the years as they patched the game?

I won't bother by checking boxes up there. I would accept the current actors if the story is good. But if the rest turns out to be like WoL, no amount of good voice acting can save it.
    It was a big dissapointment.

It's like walking out of a mediocre movie when so many good movies are on. Nobody really cares and that's the real shame in SC2.
that is soo true and I agree with Wankey

Story was crap, the voice acting was crap - mostly though due the crappy writing
But I would remove Trisha, on top of everything her voice was annoying not because of the bad writing - which was bad btw for her character -but because she is pale, she is without any depth, she is not a belivable character she is not what I would expect from the Bitch of the Universe to say

Zeratul was good ...but the character was destroyed by the lines written for him; cheap, emo and not interesting

    @Eligor
The funny part is that Glyn gave her voice samples of Zerg reveal video and Prophecy Cinematic which are damn awesome and are identical with those from BW, but the bullshit part is that Blizzard didn't give a damn about that, they wanted a hot blond that would take less money for casting
fuck the fans they are not important

    @Gradius
you shouldn't mention Tassadar, because that was not him, it was a joke just like the cake
Tassadar should never be in the production in the first place, he could appear in the game as a memory of a great battle but not talking and not trying to defend the Overming he killed
fuck I read the last line I writed and I still can't belive this, profanation by those who made him...

It's ok to start with this as long as you don't go around using this as a "majority" angle.. cause in the whole scheme of things, we enthusiasts are the minority on this angle.. I know it sucks, but common acceptance was "good story".

This is where the situation goes poorly is when someone starts throwing around the term "majority" without knowing the full pool. While I agree a portion of people on this forum (enthusiasts) will say it had issues... that's by far not the majority of the public who purchased the game. Reviews regarding it are good, (though many admit it's not as good as the original, but still good) many people introduced to StarCraft loved the story, and even a large portion of the enthusiasts enjoy it too.

When people like Wankey/Spychi/Dustin say things like this quote, it takes the perception to a point of a logical fallacy:

"Logical Fallacy: Argument by Small Numbers - Simply because someone can point to a few favorable numbers says nothing about the overall chances."
    - Source: http://www.nobeliefs.com/fallacies.htm

Just because YOU see a large number of people complaining doesn't mean that in the big picture, a majority of people disliked it.

Spychi, while I am not quoting your full quote, I wanted to pull this segment out specifically. I am surprised to say "I agree with this, Spychi". I think I need to take two pills and see you in the morning...

honestly, I knew that there would be people that usually disagree with me about almost everything would agree with that statement because of one thing
we are SC Universe fans and deep inside alot of people hate what they did with SC2 but they won't say that or they will slightly note it somewhere

WoL killed all the glory and all the potential it could have with bad writing, that's about it, obviously there is alot of other things that have killed it but from all things Singleplayer is the biggest dissapointment ever in the history of gaming, the good ideas in the minority that were killed by that fuck/crap/shit majority of the campaign

if I would have the time they had, a team of devoted fans to the SC universe a budget at least 1/4 of theirs I bet that I would achive alot more than they did mostly becuase of hiring those fans which know everything about the Korpulu Sector and few professional writers just to wrap it up

the game should not be designed for mp mainly, the game from day 1 should be all about writing an epic, belivable story that would dazzle even those who worked on it

Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up

I know, it's just that mentioning it all is a bit like pouring salt on an old wound and a temptation to break into an angry rant, which won't really help with anything. One thing we can do is decide not to buy the expansion if they don't bring Glynnis back, and announce it, loudly. If enough people will do that, Blizzard might listen, but of course they must be ready to actually follow through with the threat if Blizzard doesn't act upon it (in that case it at least will make the people at Blizzard think twice about compromising artistic integrity next time). I myself, for one, actually intend to do it. They ARE dealing with Kerrigan in their next expansion, and if they intend to do it in a half assed way without Glynnis, then I am not buying it. This whole thing is a spot upon Blizzard's reputation as conscietous storytellers, and should not be compromised upon.

Fully agree with this as well. The alternate take on that mission found in the editor shows they could've easily done that without turning Tassadar into Obi Wan Kenobi. Some things should be respectfully left as they are, Tassadar's Sacrifice is one of them.

    Lol...

If the whole CoD boycott steam group has taught me anything, it's that the boycotters are among the first in line to buy whatever it is that they're protesting against. Could you at least be realistic in your expectations? Glynnis is gone, and is never coming back, period. Blizzard had a falling out for some reason, and no one bothered to explain the cause of it all.

I personally think its more because of bad writing that the characters are overall just not interesting enough and there is no actor that can make a cheesy line sound not cheesy.

I thought it was overall good, but can be a lot better. Having said that I know a lot of you aren't satisfied, so who should be on the chopping list?
I personally liked both the acting and the story.

Kerrigan's line weren't as good as I wanted though but I guess it was necessary for the storyline objective.
