I think NaDa will take it. Starcraft is just so much faster than Warcraft 3 and by all accounts Starcraft 2 happens with Starcraft like speed; NaDa's experience playing that fast, regardless of the Starcraft vs Warcraft 3 mechanics etc debate, will be enough to swing it if nothing else.
NaDa has played thousands upon thousands of games at that speed - people mention that NaDa is going to have to unlearn some of the things he's been conditioned into doing for Starcraft, well Moon will need to do the same for things he's used to in Warcraft - and assuming that Moon has played as much Warcraft 3 as NaDa has Starcraft then he is going to be very much tuned in to Warcraft 3's slower pace.
I also very much hope that it is broadcast, but if it isn't then I suspect Blizzard will be behind that. They've been very careful and very stingy with what content they've released and the BattleReports all seem rigged to only show off only the particular features that they want to show off at that time.

Yeah, i agree, NaDa should win over Moon. Years of training in a game so fast as SC will make the difference. Even if SC2 is more micro intensive, they're different beasts.
Maybe Moon can win in TvZ, that matchup is broken like a mirror.

Yes, but it isn't like you need to macro a lot in WC3.
And Moon won't?
I don't think so, it's far easier to select all the Barracks/Factories, and that's not difficult to get used to.
Anyways, we will see what happends![]()

tbh there's not much to be excited about. I'd rather see Kim vs NaDa since Kim is SCII top player atm. So it would be one of the best SC1 player vs the best SC2 player.

Nada against balance designer David Kim? As nice as that might be to watch, Nada has very little advantage considering he plays with tried-and-true build orders and strats, things that apply very little in SC2.
The Terrans, which he uses, have gone through massive changes. Infantry is more robust but lack the medic. Heavy metal has been changed completely, so no Vulture Spider Mine/Turret territorial holds. Hell even the opposition has changed, with Zerg having banelings and roaches, and Protoss having stalkers (dragoons with blink) and nullifiers. It'll be a lot harder to contain a good protoss player.
Not to mention that Nada has little experience with SC2 while David Kim lives and breathes it...

WC3 has different kinds of macro. Things like creeping and so forth.Yes, but it isn't like you need to macro a lot in WC3.
While he does know SC1 strategies, he's not as practiced with them as Nada. And Moon won't?
And really, it's not like Nada won't know this is SC2 or something. The issue is at the instinctive level. Nada, as a professional SC1 player, has certain instincts about timings, unit utility, and so forth. And while he's certainly not going to forget that it's a new game, his instinctive reactions will be along the lines of SC1. Moon's instincts, as a comparatively casual SC1 player, will be less finely honed, and thus more easily changed.
It isn't a massive advantage or anything. But it isn't something that can be ignored either.

Moon could easily be at a pro level in SC if he wanted. I think his instincts will surpass Nada for sure, since Nada's instincs is as a macro terran, while Moon is as an aggressive player. SC2 favors aggression, not sitting in your base making 3/3 terran ball.
Moon will win easily if they do play. Its a no brainer. Maybe if it was Boxer vs Moon, but nada is a player built on memorizing buildorders and not adapting to change.
Of course no one will convince you SC elitists though. Just wait til friday to see the results and get your excuses ready "omg moon had more time to play sc2" - so much for "instincts" eh?

I'm still convinced that the progression from SC1 to SC2 will be easier than the one from WC3 to SC2. The only advantage the WC3 players have is 3D recognition.
