Roaches. fat, can burrow-move, and have good damage. And spammable.

someone should clash a 200 food of 3-3 roach with claw speed tunnel move and everything vs 200 food of 3-3 hydra with range... but someone gotta micro both group perfectly as well

Hydra hands down.

They have the most unholy DPS, good range, can attack air, 3.5 movement speed on creep. Their only true weakness is low-ish health for their cost. Even their slow movement speed off creep is easily countered by just being on top of your creep production. They have no direct counter that is easily achieved in the numbers needed to fight them off. It also takes much more effort in terms of micro management and unit mixes to beat Hydras, especially if they have just a few roaches to act as cannon fodder for the first couple attacks.

Hydras make me want to rip my hair out. They invalidate so many strategies just by existing, that you HAVE to focus heavily on countering them, only to be tech swapped to death. I would rather fight 100 games in a row mass MMM, then to play against a zerg who presses the H button repeatedly...
