I kinda want to see a Terran Melee Unit

Though I am a die hard Protoss player (sort of) I still sort of romanticize the whole Mecha with swords theme xD, And since Terran have no melee units I wonder if they'll come out with one if future expansions to fill this (unnecessary but still unfufilled) role.
I mean having a Goliath using Molecular cutting Swords will be awesome xD (need to give goliaths arms first.)

but if u want a true melee unit then I dont see a logical one... now that u mention melee, i kinda want to see a melee air unit, zerg or protoss comes into mind, ships with plasma blades or zerg creatures that rip apart flesh and metal.

Gundam mechs are too "cool" to fit with StarCraft Lore - big robots with swords just aren't gritty enough for my taste.

id have to agree with crow, but i wouldnt mind if marines had some sort of knifelike dagger sticking out of their guns to show some melee action in close range (like hydras and roaches) =P

Pfffft, Terrans already have SCVs and Mules (wait, can Mules attack?). What do they need sword wielding goliaths for?

OP, sounds like you're asking for a unit in the editor... why would you want to mess with multiplayer because "oh wouldn't it be fun if zerg had more lasers lolz".

Someone already made a pretty cool looking mecha (that looks like Gradius' avatar haha) and uses a sword. You can expect to see a lot more from the editor.
