What seige tanks? All I saw was a few DTs and Sarov walking away from the wreckage over there. *points to where the seige tanks were*
It's ok, I can settle this quick
Gifted pulls up his arm and speaks into a comm on his wrist "Gundam Gradius, please proceed with barrage..."
(btw, here's a little glimpse of his last time he fought off a riot, it's kinda scary...)

I'd like to see this as a bo7 team event, where 7 people are picked to represent each side, each with a captain who picks who will represent their side. Each player plays 1 game and whoever wins gets a point. First team to 4 points wins
I really need to change this...

Haha, Gundam dropping a seed. That is awesome. OK now to the point. If anyone has ever been in the legacy observer chat when I have been there, know just how often I have talked to Gifted about staff and community interaction. But most of you do not know just how much time I have spent talking to other staffers about this subject as well. And 100% the consensus is: "we would love to do it, if we had the time available to do so".
A special note about the community fun nights for the stream: it's not necessarily about time, its more about reason. If there are only 10 people watching the stream, there is no point to stream if everyone can just get on the game and play. Whats the point of having the stream open if no one is going to watch it? They got the front page link working again directing to the new ustream page, and are also trying to get the stream to work on teamliquid to show up on the right panel with all the user streams. Both of these will help increase the viewer numbers which will allow having fun community nights a greater possibility while still maintaining an audience for the stream. I am not saying it will 100% happen, because I am not staff (obviously), but I do talk to at least Gifted about it on the stream semi regularly just to see how things are going.
I will end on an ironic note. The reason we are now having the NA/EU showmatch series, is because of Transformice. For those that were not here that long ago, when the beta was down between phases one and two, the community(and some staffers) would get together and play this game called Transformice on the stream. Most of us sucked, but we had a good time and fun was had by all. After beta came back, the streamers had less time to stream so there were fewer community nights which me and others thought was less than ideal. The game was released and with Gifted moving there was even less of a chance a community event would happen soon. So I had the idea of "I have a ventrillo server, I am going to try to see if some people want to get together and practice and have fun. And maybe I could even help a few lower level players get better as well".
Sadly, not a single NA server player liked the idea at all of getting together to practice. But there were tons of responses about the lower level teaching. And thus the Starcraft Vent Sessions were born. While the discussion of the vent server was happening, Hammy from EU was talking to Lesh (I am not sure about the exact details) about creating a group for the EU server people to get together and practice and have fun, and thus EU Fight Club was born. After this Dejai got jealous and made the NA Weekly Warriors.
So that leads us to now, where the NA/EU showmatch is close at hand.So when you play in the EU fight club, or are listening to the vent sessions, or even playing against staffers in a bo7 showmatch; be sure to thank Transformice, because without it, all of this would not be possible.
I realize that I change my signature often. All I can say to that is: SO??? HAI FIVE!! (*・∀・)/♡\(・∀・*)

Oh u mean the distaction siege tank no the thing is we dropped about 3 clocked ghost in yer main natural and they just nuked it...but then our mothing ship desided to come in and mass recall our guys to yer main so they can clean up and we can establish our new main...there is plenty of minerals and gas due to very poor saturation because off all our drops. Also my overseer sees all! cloacked with my motership, HE IS UN TOUCHABLE, his name is Freddy...you wouldnt dare kill Freddy he has a wife and 2 children one thats 5 named john and another named kat thats 9...u wouldnt dare kill the father of these children would you!
LOL! I acually watch that show for a bit nice pic :P very flattering XD
I was thinking of doing it as more of a u have 8 people and 8 people u face 1 guy from the other team and out of winners and losers u keep fightingtill there is only 1 side remaining for example if only 1 guy wins on the people that 1 guy now has to beat all 7 of the reamaining staff for his team to win...and at the end if u want just for the fun of it the alive teamies if there is any can battle it out for bragging rights/fun
IDK bout the others but i liked the after stream games but work usually interfers that and u needa post something more to show/spread that u r streaming half the time I have no idea! but still thanks the things I have made were awesome and fun
Umm can people please say if they wanna sign up or not and not? it would really help with the orginization due to if no one signs up ill just delay it another monthish then re post with the name staff vs people...so please post if u r intrested in playing sooner(afterblizzcon of course) or later! and may we meet in glourious battle!

I think if people were super jazzed about the idea, they would have made themselves known by now - staff or community. You might be better off waiting til' low season after blizzcon as the staff have mentioned, and coming back with some more concrete plans then. I like the sentiment though, community building is swanky.
