    I don't really understand the point of giving Protoss supply and giving Terrans energy. Why not give Protoss energy and keep supply? Protoss can build pylons anywhere with one probe, they don't have major supply issues. They also benefit most from energy.

    The goblin shredder concept worked for them before but as a neutral Macro unit not a core macro unit. Explain how it takes away macro and doesn't give any back.Because it's vulnerable? Your sarcastic answer left me with nothing productive to defend against.

    The only thing I remotely like about the monolith is dark pylon upgrade because it gives enemies even more incentive to snipe em. Triceron also brings up a good point.

    Because if you look at the resource pathways supply is limited by minerals. Mules translate into more minerals. If supply boost was in competion with say gas (which cant translate into supply) their would theoretically be greater tension.

    I gave protoss supply since Terran already has minerals and minerals can be funneled into supply lines. I gave Terran energy recharge since according to Blizzard Argus Link has been removed (for whatever reason). My thinking is perhaps it would be more appropriate for these two to switch abilities.

    But that's taking away a macro mechanic Terrans can legitimately use! I see no reason why Protoss need it any more than Terrans. Just because they took energy transfer away from Protoss doesn't mean Terrans want it.

    I don't want to spend Comsat energy on refilling other units energy. I would much rather spend that on extra supply, which is way more useful. Protoss don't deserve Terran macro mechanics just because their own aren't working out.

    Besides, calling down supply isn't just 100 minerals 'which Terrans already have'. It's taking aside the precious SCVs to build it. Protoss can use ONE probe to make MULTIPLE pylons already, they don't need an ability to give it to them for free.

    How often do you think Terrans will be using Calldown Supply when they have MULEs? Compared to Protoss using Calldorn Supply.

    That's a macro choice now, isn't it? Protoss will have new mechanics to replace their old ones.

    How many times would Queen use Spawn Larvae if it was given Proton Charge? I guess we should play switcheroo with every race's mechanics eh?

    Archer's point is that MULE's mine more than 100 minerals in their timespan, so they're worth more than a supply drop. The ONLY reason you'd ever use a supply drop is if you forgot a depot (though with weakened depots/pylons, supply killing may be a valid tactic against any race now)

    My problem with Archer's proposal is giving the Terrans the energy boost ability. While it may make some sense if it was used on a Raven or BC, charging a Ghost's psionic powers feels Protoss-esque.

    I agree. Too be honest the Solar recharge was more of a way to save Argus Link (if it doesnt work for Protoss) and also fill a hole in the Terran arsenol.

    I think their will be other uses (supply depots getting destroyed) I just dont think it will be that often. The biggest reason is that you can use extra minerals from MULEs and funnel them into increased supply.

    However if the player has to choose between gas and supply then they are deciding between better units or more units.

    The best way you can visualize what I mean is by drawing out the resource pathways. For instance minerals and supply would both have arrows going towards units.
