I think it would work really well. (Of course, it won't matter if NesTea wins, and he's been looking really solid this season)
If he does the tank/marine push like the last game, then that hellion build probably wouldnt be as strong, especially with how well foxer micro's his marines. I think that slayersboxer probably has the best chance at beating foxer though. Here is to hoping we see a boxer foxer final.

Agreed on the Boxer Foxer final. I think that would be awesome for Foxer to get to play agianst his hero per say. However, I still think a helion push would work really well if he backed it up with tanks. Pure tech could counter Foxer's relentless insistence on mass marines if microed well. Just get blue flame and avoid tank fire. I think Slayers Boxer will come up with something interesting though if he wins. I think NesTea is looking pretty strong too though so it's hard to say who's going to win. I'm almost rooting for NesTea just because he's not quite as well known despite his SC1 career.

    Damn......last semifinal result

    Hidden Content:
Nestea 4-0 vs SlayersBoxer. Boxer just didn't seem to have any chance at any moment. Nothing really worked for him. Quite one sided. Maybe people will start saying Zerg OP instead of terran OP.:P

Was not expecting such a massive gap. 4-2 I could understand... but 4-0? That's just cruel and unusual punishment. So many proxxies.... damn. Someone really needs to rethink his TvZ.

Yeah those proxy racks were seriously painful to watch. Even though Boxer is known for early pushes and marine play, his proxies in this match were like watching someone who knew he was going to lose cheese rush every game.

Boxer was never really known for his consistency you know. His nickname is well deserved, but the pro-scene has evolved since those days.

Any predictions for the Foxer vs NesTea finals?

I'm thinking Foxer will take it 4-3 because of his amazing micro and ability to time his pushes against zerg as shown against FD. However, NesTea's timing pushes have been pretty strong and may be completely different from FD's.

I honeslty can't tell who's going to win and can't determine who I want to win. On the one hand, Foxer has shown an incredible new style of play and surpassed the real Boxer making him a fan favorite. But NesTea was a nobody in SC1 so I kinda like that he might make a new name for himself in SC2 (which he already has).

    What do you guys think?

I think Nestea will be able to win if he doesn't get himself stuck making tons of banelings. I think win by 4-1 or 4-2.

That's true, his roach push timing would destroy Foxer's mass marines. It's still impressive that both of these mediocre SC1 players have destroyed the pros with their excellent attention to detail regarding their "standard" builds, and how to exploit the holes and flaws in these builds and capitalize off of it.

I'm incredibly impressed with how they both developed timing pushes and build orders that have massacred the favored pros. That's why it's hard for me to decide who I want to win and who I think will win. However, I disagree with your 4-1, 4-2 prediction. I expect to go to 7 games, but then again, that may just be wishful thinking.

I'm just thinking that against zergs Foxer has just been making mass marines with some tanks. Very little deviation. If he sticks to that and Nestea is not a complete idiot then Nestea should be able to just keep beating it over and over again. Unless for some reason Nestea goes roaches and Foxer just switches to marauder micro.:P I just feel that if Foxer doesn't come up with something to beat Nestea's style then he'll just get run over. I think Foxer might get some wins off early rushes with bunkers and marines but i hope nestea realises Foxer likes to rush and kill zerg FEs. In the end it depends on whether they both stick to the same builds or try to mix it up to get some wins.
