    Hi everyone!

    A little preamble: the ideas on this thread are not mine, they are collected form different threads on various forums but I'd like to have a whole vision of the opinions of sclegacy forum members.

    So, what is or are the best improvements Blizzard can give to the Queen WITHOUT altering its functions and spells.

    Options:
    1) 50 energy units when spawns
    2) Quicker off creep movement (same as Roach's for example)
    3) Both of them
    4) I don't like these proposals

    Just pointing out, the queen's speed off creep was nerfed in beta to prevent roach+queen /w transfusion rushes.

    I'd like to see 50 starting energy. I think it would make zerg much more fun to use early/mid game. You wouldn't feel completely behind and conflicted on whether to
    sacrafice speed for units or units for speed. And by speed, I mean just enough to defend your expo and main.

    I think zerg has the toughest time defending against harrassment because they often get spawn larva instead of creep tumors early game. And if they opted for creep tumors,
    they'd be behind in units if the other player 5 rax or 4 gates. Plus, this would only add one creep tumor per queen as the energy increase is only effective when they spawn.
    That doesn't sound too problematic imo.

    However, I do think queens should be just as slow off creep. They have anti-air and anti-ground attacks and might be too powerful if they were faster. If you give them 50 starting energy,
    they should be able to spread creep fast enough to give them that extra speed. Especially since they're primarily for defending harrassment and would only get the speed increase where
    the creep has been spread in that scenario.

    I didn't notice that. Good point (Even if at that time Roach had 2 armor, I suppose...)

    I voted for a starting energy of 50 as well. At the moment I just use the first queen for larva only. Otherwise I have too few of them. But being able to also spawn a creep tumor would be perfect in helping fending of early harass, and generally starting the spread earlier.

    Queens are so good vs air and have transfuse. If they were fast on ground too why would I ever need to get hydras?

    That's actually a good point. I suggested both of them as an option to give more durability and playability to Roaches in the first few minutes of the game.

    Last news is they are going to buff Roach a bit: that's actually a good thing so actually the first proposal (50 initial energy) would be sufficient.

    Starting with 50 energy would broke the game.. Imagine building fast hatchery and producing lings from both with larva injection..

    First of all, you would only have an additional 25 energy per queen because once you use the energy it rebuilds at the same frequency as before. Secondly, a queen wouldn't be able to efficiently spawn larva from both if it doesn't produce a creep tumor to increase its speed, thus allowing it to travel back and forth between bases that quickly. So I really don't see a problem here.
