    Yup Shakuras Plataeu is in the 1v1 map rotation.

    Funny... I read this topic this morning. Ran down town to do some errands, come back and the first map of the day is a "new" map. The timing was pretty perfect IMO.

    Cool map tho, lots of path ways in and out of bases, back door rocks, safe-ish natural... sweet map.

    Edit: The mains are also super Reaper-proof. There are only two paths that reapers can jump onto the high ground, @ your back near the destructable rocks and on the sides of the ramp leading into your natural. The ledges @ the rocks are so slim that reapers have trouble finding a path, and when they do find it, only can come in single file. The cliff side facing the center of the map is two cliff stories high, meaning Collosus and Reapers cant jump/walk over them. Watchtowers are nicely hidden behind brush and give sight of all the expos beyond mains and naturals (4 player map).

    Good mix for both aggressive players and defensive turtles, for such a small map...

    I just played a game there. Was it playable previously in the ladder?

    I agree, it's a nice map. I wonder if there can really be bigger maps, and don't turn into a harassing deadmatch. There are so many units that can break your base so fast, that you cannot really move your army very far away, or risk your base to be leveled by VRs, a drop of Marauders, Banshees, etc.

    Shakuras was available at the beginning of beta for a bit, it was an FFA/2v2 map though.

    An interesting fact if you do play on Shakuras:
    They can not spawn directly above or below you, they will always be horizontal or diagonally positioned from where you are.
    ie: If you spawn in the top-left, they can not spawn bottom-left.

    The other one that was added is jungle basin I think its called.
