    Default Patch Idea: Instant Observing

Just had a cool idea for something Blizzard could implement in a future patch, or maybe an expansion. I was chatting with some friends on skype, and they were playing SC2, and I thought, how cool would it be for me to be able to jump into their game while it was in progress and watch the rest from there.

I know there could be issues with friends jumping on and telling you what your opponent is building, maybe you could make it so if you observe somebody's game like that you could only see one side of it? What do you guys think, worth considering?

Being able to see the entire map would clearly have some issues (especially if the PCs were side by side) but being able to watch friends play live would be great. It would be a great alternative too to having to wait 10-15mins after logging on for them t finish a game

I'd rather they work on getting a dropped player back into the game before this.

I'd rather have them work on improving custom games, bringing chat channels, opening up servers, improving the game lobby, adding live streaming and recording, automating the tournament request and not have to email them for a freaking tournament and reducing the countdown.

Too much opportunity for exploitation. If you were chatting to your friend on Skype, what's to stop him from hopping into a game and reporting what he sees?

It would work fine if it was limited to Real ID friends and you could only see exactly what your friend was seeing. I would welcome this addition but as was mentioned there's a LOT of room for improvement on many other battle.net areas, so this would be a low priority for me.

I agree. I just play campaign, AI, or customs if I'm waiting for a friend.

I feel like it wouldnt work because if u join in and you look around and see something like a drop is going down and ping/msg him/her, that would give a total advantage to them...or u see a 3 murs just standing near a watch tower with a random unit out and msg yer friend of a potental attack...I just think it wouldnt be fair in the way the ob would be able to help spot thingso n the map.(it would be cool though if they didnt make it so u could help them)
