    Default Foreshadowing in 'Deceptions'

    Remember that bonus map from years ago?

    Anybody else noticed how many of the various files that you found and uploaded ended up becoming minor plot points in WOL? For example:

    Biological Energy Weapon Limb Replacement;
    General Warfield, nuff said.

    Reanimation Using Zerg Infestation Techniques;
    IIRC,One of Stetmann's research notes state that zerg cells are capable of bonding with necrotic tissue and forming new cells.

    Polarity Shifting Energy Fields Using BattleCruiser Tech.;
    The D matrix upgrade you can get for your battlecruisers.

    Maintaining Discipline in Rampant A.I.
    Humorously lampshaded in the Raven's 'annoyed' quotes.

    Manipulating Tau Particles Into Stable Orbits.
    The Thor's primary weapon(s) (thor's hammer) are basically weaponized particle accelerators, course it could just be coincidence.

    Saving Human Mental Faculties In Zerg/Human Hybridization Experiments.
    Sort of touched on in one of the news casts when Donny & Kate were discussing the origins of the Queen of Blades.

    What do you think?

    I was really hoping "Offspring of Infested Terrans" would result in Kerrigan and Stewart having a kid. No such luck

    One thing I was hoping for but didn't make it was the Hiten Mitsurgi Ryu sword style data file. I wanted to see ghosts with cy-blade swords (sword version of the cy-blade that was made for Nova in SC:Ghost), with the sniper rifle being more of a special high-damage Snipe ability.

    According to the Dark Templar trilogy, Kerrigan is/was working on this, but it was under the belief that the human had to have a certain gene that allowed them to keep their mental faculties through the infestation process.

    The stuff about the gene was from StarCraft: Hybrid (not the Dark Templar Saga), and now that she knows about it, it's fixable. She never said anything about Stewart needing the gene; once you know about it, you should be able to fix/remove it with genetic engineering.

    That mental image is at once both highly disturbing and yet strangely....compelling.

    Mutates are Terran hybridized with Zerg that utilize a nanite serum to maintain their intelligence as well as keep the Zerg instinctual nature in check.
