this is an off-topic forum we're in so what's there not to expect when having a discussion that leads elsewhere...?

Not to derail the topic, Senervo, and as much as hate the old "but look at [x], they are much worse off than you" argument, be glad you're not in South Africa.
i'm not trying to say that sweden is a bad country... i'd say the opposite, it's quite nice at times and even though i prefer animals way more than humans...
    some are alright...
and from where i live, most people, i am sure, would agree with us here how sad a topic like this really is and how it affects the present life of so many..
when i think about it... this thread became bigger than i expected...
but truth be told, racism and political power-mongers will always exist, a bitter truth to be sure, but with idiots running our worlds, i'm sure this will always remain.
See, here's the sad part: I posted way more often before I was a moderator. I had something like an average of 5 or 6 posts per day and they weren't those simple posts that never contributed anything. And here's the weirder part: Some people think I've changed since I became a moderator and that sooner or later the power is going to get to my head. I haven't changed at all. I'm still the same friendly, random and helpful member as before just with less posts. And I've been in countless many positions where I could abuse power in life but I never did be it over a group of people or something else.
i didn't say that you abuse your power now and have never thought you did...
i don't understand why anyone would turn against you, as i for one feel that you seem to have done a fine job at keeping this community, with it's... quite peculiar members at a valid level...

    thanks for the good job...

ah...well... i think we've all settled our minds and i feel we've all come to a satisfying conclusion: People suck... not all...
but enough to make a difference...

I just do not want to take your topic (about Sweden and its legislation) and turn it into one about Africa. Many people dislike it when conversation wanders off topic.

It has a definite impact, yes. Which is why I didn't want people to attempt downplaying it by comparing it to other problems.

Modern society and politics do not come naturally to humans. Many struggle - or outright refuse - to adapt to them.

    Agreed. Thank you.

Sadly true. But is the opposite not true as well?
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

quite so, but neutralising each other... well, if only the shape of the humans' brains were different...
let's say this.. for 1 good person and 1 bad person what comes out of it...
    usually a bad end...

You're always welcome to come to Australia. We're a really laid back nation with good laws, fantastic health care system, Medicare, lots of jobs (we're the only developed nation to survive the financial crisis) and just an all-round great place to live. If anywhere, I'd recommend Melbourne.

However, obviously it would be better to remain in Sweden so I wish you the best of luck.

We had similair problem several years ago, political parties were abusing the fact there were nazistic mood between latvians and russians(about 25-35% of population in Latvia). But luckily people got fed with all this nazistic shit and these parties aren't looking good for upcoming elections in October.

And yeah, majority of the people are dumd, retarded, and easily manipulated, so you just have to face this fact :/

Embrace and good luck, hope number of adecvate people will prevail over tards.

    Whaaaaa?

I think my Canada has come out it pretty damn well. There's hardly a scar left. Canada and Australia are very close socio-economically.

That may or may not be true, I'm just taking our former Prime Ministers word for it.

    I kinda resent that.
Robots and machines are some of the hardest-working, most honest people you'll ever meet. They do the most repetitive and messy jobs you wouldn't want to contemplate, and they nearly work for free. People complain about them taking jobs, but nobody would be willing or able to take their place.

As for turning on humans, isn't that just as stereotypical as "Latinos are coming over so they can take over the Southwestern United States and return it to Mexico"? We're assuming that one of them WILL achieve?

Actually, I hear people say "Europeans" quite a bit. Not nearly as often as I hear "Africans", though. The only people I hear referred to by nationality rather than continent are Libyans, Egyptians, Nigerians, Ethiopians, Somalians, Moroccans, and South Africans.
