Even if it is a glitch, if you abuse a glitch for the sake of winning then you should be punished.

If I found a glitch that made me automatically win any game, then continued to use it, should I be punished? Keep in mind that it isnt a hack, just a glitch in the game.

I got suspended on WoW for using Fire Resistance gear in Warsong gultch CTF in Classic WoW.
If you do not know what that means, basically I got suspended for using gear that I legitimately acquired and did not use any glitches.

Wait, what? Why would they suspend you for using FR gear? People were swapping to partial shadow resist gear (or full SR gear before they made the change that allowed you to swap your gear during the match) in arena during TBC and they didnt get suspended o.O

Luckily haven't run into this yet, but you can't say it's worse than BW, where I've been nuked from across the map. Nuking with no chance to kill the ghost still scares the shit out of me way more than a warped in Immortal.

I remember the Terran slide glitch in the early days of StarCraft which basically made it impossible to kill a Terran. Basically, you lift off your CC at the beginning of the game, then land it, but as it's lowering, you spam click near the minerals. It'll slide near the minerals and you're SCVs will harvest like it was a fastest map.

Needless to say, Marines harasses happened before Zerglings
