Naw, that's the size Zeratul remains in the cutscene aboard the Hyperion. And I think Kerrigan was Raynor's height or slightly shorter. Since Zeratul and Kerrigan didn't have the epic fight we expected, there isn't much way to compare their sizes. However, when Zeratul leaps onto her his feet are huge compared to her shoulders. So this looks like it's the way things are sized.
If she's not supposed to be huge why did Blizzard make her hero model ginormous? She's huge in game, and has 12000 HP.

Easy readability on the battlefield. She a big menace, and is represented as such in the game.

I doubt that Blizzard bothered to get things to scale in the cinematics. They just keeped things the size they felt was right for the shot.

Also, bear in mind that Zeratul has a very slouched-over figure. A zealot would seem much taller if only because he would stand up much straighter.

Also, marine suits seem to be a lot larger than they were in the first game, making a fully armored marine approximately the same height as a protoss (though obviously much bulkier)

In the novels, marine armor raises a marine's height by a full foot.

Aside from the 3 meter height stated in the Box of SC1, there wasn't anything in SC1 that compares Terran height with Protoss height visually.

Amen. I would have loved to see story mode done in that style.

Hey, humans show incredible variety in height. Some people, when fully grown, aren't even 2 feet tall. Others are more than 8 feet. It stands to reason Protoss would also have height variations, with upper and lower extremes. What these extremes would be however, isn't clear, although 7-10 feet sounds reasonable.
