If you were fooling around by making those cannons, sure, but if you think that was an optimal number, then it's a different story.

If you can't take criticism for what it is, you'll have a hard time improving. I don't even know how many cannons you made, but I'm saying this as a general rule. I don't think I've every been given any bad advice at LFC so far, but whether or not you want to try some new stuff is up to you ; )

I had 14 cans in my main, natural and second exp
I didn't thought it was a bad idea with those, Lesh tried a drop but as soon as he saw the cans he back out, otherwise I would lost alot of tech

Spychi, if you dont want to take advice thats one thing, but trying to implicate that it is somehow wrong cuz i did something totaly unrelated in another game is not rly smart or nice of you.

And ur "proof" is just so funny. Do you honestly think this works if the zerg think about his actions two sec even?

Here is a nice wall of text + replays to explain why static defence are something you are looking to avoid.

Cannons are just a worse build than normal units, because normal units can be used in many ways other than defending.
Here are two replays of my latest games, doing the same thing, yet im using my units very diffrently.
1 st game my scout died, but i could see he didnt make speed yet. I also did some scouting around to watch for a runby all in zerglings before i moved out, leaving my choke undefended but my army slightly higher than it would be otherwise.
I see his static defence, and i JUST ATTACK SOMEWERE ELSE. his money = wasted. He cant defend his main with spinecrawlers in his natural, can he?
Same for cannons, worthless in many situations.

2nd game, i scout speed on the way, i scout 1 drone in gas only so i know its a all in zergling inc if he has his buildorder right.
I further get this confirmed when i see his speedlings at my entrance. I leave 2 sentries and a zealot in my entrance cuz i plan on baiting and trapping a runby. Notice that i didnt scout for a runby yet since i want it to happen.
I move out walk around a bit in his tower sight(i see his zergling having the tower) and it works like a charm, i trap half of his army.
If i didnt, i would scout and then move out, just like the first game.

Point of game 1)
Static defence are no good if they dont hit anything, are they?
Investing in a real army would have been so much better.

Point of game 2)
Moving units like zealots and sentries can also defend, there is no need for cannons if you just predict what is probably gonna happen. Be aware of what your opponent could do, and you dont need cannons, you can invest the money in something better that can attack or defend multiple points.

What's up with the attitude. Your comparison with Idra is beyond irrelevant (I've never seen Idra present an article, or replays demonstrating one of his points). Don't talk nonesense please, and you also shouldn't disregard an opinion because of how it's presented either, especially not when someone actually bothers to write something that makes sense.

Duren is a very good player, so I still don't get the "u suck hard".

lol no dude, this zerg put up like 4 spine crawlers and durden walks by them and clears his main, and bit later he wins. totally one sided, and this guys says u suck hard and quits. or u can say ragequits
