so, for now im just plat. and having my most serious attempt at playing terran since beta. TvT and TvP is kinda cool and kinda easy at my current level, but its funny, i havnt won a stiraght game of TvZ yet. probably because all the zerg play makes me stuck in macro mode, letting them take the map... Im learning though! and having some fun with reapers and ravens on my way.
Don't forget to use the annoying terran units. Blue flame hellions and cloaked banshees. And watch out for them 6-gates.

banshees are always good, get a 2port banshee rush going and if you can micro them decently, should beat every zerg under diamond easily

well im still facing diamond palyers every otehr game, and im more about learning to manage the matchup "for real" and becoming able to do OK with it as i improve.. but thanks for the advice. if i get desperate ill try it.

So what does a kind of outside perspective on TvT and TvP feel like???

im pretty bad. but 2rax pressure into expo seems to work well vs P... i seem able to trainsition with it into what should be a lead in economy / initative.. from tehre its very straightforward to center around MMM .. im not good with ghosts yet and rarely get them, but i dont seem to need to. stutterstepping stim + dropping works well enough, plus, i generally get to make some extra moeny and burn it on funky shit like reapers and ravens and thors.

in TvT iv mostly opened helions. with good sucess. later, im fine with marine/tank/viking wars, but not afraid to mix that up with some Thors and ravens to help dominate teh airspace, using BC's when i do.

but yeah, im pretty bad; games get quite chaotic.

From a P PoV, ghosts can completely mess you up. IMO once a T reaches the point where he has 2 bases up and running, ghosts can be quite a worthwhile investment. Considering how vital sentries are in the MU, a few EMPs can make a significant difference, especially since sentries tend to clump up. Not to mention, the huge damage EMP does to P gateway units.

As for ravens, i think that PDD's are excellent in situations where you get caught off guard, and even in straight up battles they can work wonders.
I don't understand why we don't see the raven used more often

Maybe because it requires Protoss to go stalker heavy for PDD to be very worthwhile and marauders do really well against stalkers anyways. Perhaps in a few more days I'll go back to laddering.

Yeah true, but I still think having a single Raven at hand is useful, not only for PDD's, but also for sniping observers and maybe even harassing mineral lines with turrets ; )

Shhhhhhhhh keep quiet Peanutbutter. We don't want terrans getting even more annoying with the way they play.
