Seperate MMR for each race would be pretty badass. I'd had to bully my friend into giving back my EU account. To find out he didn't play it much and went like 10-36. Took a bit to get out of bronze but it was fun to work on macro. Ya, regardless I payed for a second account so I could play zerg and protoss. (terran is attrocious)

I decided to main as Protoss, and I'm trying to adjust to the warp gate nerf and to catch up on the newer strategies. Warp Gates aren't that big of a deal but I'm used to be a bit safer without units since I could usually macro up until warp gate was done and then make units, at the most I would have a Stalker or a Sentry. Now, that's a bit riskier since attacks seem to come a little bit after that now.

After a rather stressful few week without any ladder games ( Only replays ), I'm trying to overcome the dreadful ladder anxiety.

... ive managed to climb close to top 8 in my division, but as established, im more sceptical than ever about the actual meaning of rating-points and ranking. i also suspect i would drop at least 10ish positions if people in my division spent their bonuspools propper.

... im keeping better track of my game-by-game progress and stats nowadas, using sc2analysis.com (where ive also made all my replays public) .. its a pretty neat place for analysis, adn it tells me ZvP is by far my worst matchup (although i dont often meet P's on the ladder tbh)

I haven't laddered in a good long while. Basically from a similar mindset to todie. I find the league, rank and points I have on ladder have no meaning at all. They don't show an objective way to measure skill. Just relative skill levels. And if I can't get objectively assigned a rating say "C or D" then there's little point in laddering.

Eventually in a few more weeks I might ladder just for the sake of it. But really CombatEX is a NA grandmaster. I can't really trust a ladder system that put him there.

Why shouldn't he be? Besides the fact that he's the ultimate douche bag, he's actually pretty good ( When not cheesing )

You get objectively assigned a rating, when you get put in a league. Or have i misunderstood something?

Isn't the whole point of laddering that you get to play opponents of equal skill? And as you beat these opponents, you climb the ladder, and face tougher and tougher enemies.
