Bonus points ftw... you can only compare players who both have 0 bonus points left, otherwise the whole system loses its purpose.

It's quite bad that the position in the league depends on the amount of played games. Don't know why they don't just use the hidden number and sort people by skill, instead of skill+played games.

That doesn't really account for the rise in points that comes from just spamming games.

so with this recent patch, ive been doing horribly as toss. My whole build for PvZ was obliterated (since I did Forge-FE everygame before usually) and now that roach range is so crazy, cant do that really. So i switched to zerg and so far its much easier, altho im still losing cause I get matched vs 2500+ only, but least I can point out my mistakes in a way that makes me know Im in every game with zerg.

Thats what I really hate about this ladder though; since I was in the Top 200 list afew months ago, when the top player was under 2000 (and I was 1700).. You basically HAVE to keep playing after that consistently, or you will fall far behind and your MMR will screw you over. For example; Since my MMR was so high, Every single game I play right now, I am favored, even though I am 1600 vsing 2500 people.

I beat a 2700 guy twice on like tuesday, and I got 12 points each time, INCLUDING bonus points. So like, For me to climb the ladder again, its going to be really really hard. I lose ~20 pts a loss cause im always favored, yet I only win very minimal points. So I dunno, guess I just have to win at least 85%+ of my games or else every loss takes away like 4 wins and I'll be back where I started =[

Probably going to just 1v1 for fun now, wait til patch before I start playing serious again in solo

well I mean if you take 2-3 weeks off, its VERY VERY hard to climb out of the hole, On the ladder (in terms of points) .. In terms of skills, I dont feel 1000 pts below the people I play everygame now, yet on the ladder thats what it is, im 1000 pts behind (yet somehow im always favored vs them)

That's fine, your hidden rank will adjust very quickly and then you'll have all those bonus points.
Sure, you'll need to play to rank back up (which is understandable to a certain extent) but it's not that big a deal.

@Saharadrac: I SHOULD be ranked above a player who plays 50 games a day, even if I only play 5 games a week, as long as I'm better than him. The ladder point system says otherwise.

I can also attest to that. When I started getting dropped like mad, I was around 950 and the best players on this forum were only 1200 or so. Since then, I haven't climbed any and everyone else is 2000-2500+. If you want to stat competitively ranked, you have to play a lot of games.
