How exactly does this work? Is it only the time you spent on the missions itself that will add up?

Does the timer stop if you pause the game?

I think its just gameplay but yea I think the timer will stop if you pause

I never paused so I wouldn't know, but yes it's only in-mission time. You also don't have to do it all in one day. If you're having trouble, the mission order I did was Monlyth =>Agria =>The Devil's Playground =>Bel'shir =>Meinhoff => The Dig =>New Folsom =>Tarsonis =>Tyrador =>Safe Haven =>Dead Man's Port =>Supernova =>Maw of the Void =>Char. I did Shatter the Sky instead of belly of the Beast, and extensively use mercs throughout.

Its actually a pretty easy achiev. I know someone who hit 4 hours.

Can you get this achievement if you play it in casual?

Only on medium.

But it seems like this runthrough will be more of a normal runthrough with hopefully the best unit uppgrades. And then some day I can come back and finnish the brutal mission. It's just somehow I don't take my time to actaully try them. I played 2-3 of them and beat them pretty easy now, I thought the train mission was über hard but now it was quite easy Same with havens fall. Aslong as you didn't do any misstakes and just macroed up nice and tight.

Ya, I played it once for completion (but missed the secret mission), and then went back while all the missions were still fresh to do a speed run. I'll probably go back and do a Brutal run sometime before HotS.

you can redo missions and get a better time

I dont think the replaying missions already completed to "get a better time" works.. Its total time spent in the mission, so if you lose and restart the mission, that is counted also.

Just start a new campaign, and do it. I completed my speed run on normal or whatever the minimal requirement was in like 4:30 hours. I remember I started at like 2am and just drank an energy drink and finished it before my parents went to work at 7.
