You just have to set the rally from the cocoon/egg as previously mentioned. No need to add new mechanics. It's just one more little wrinkle of playing Zerg.

It would be helpful, but it's dumbing down the game. Players can individually rally eggs and that should suffice. It's one more step to differentiate the crafty players from the inexperienced.
