Duke Nukem 3d was the first game I really played competitively at the tender age of 6-7. I played a ton of lans and my bro and I really got into it.

It appears that Take-Two Interactive has taken Duke Nukem Forever into there hands, lets hope they can actually finish the game instead of giving us nothing for so long.
I found out here:

Though its on hold at the moment, I believe I can understand why they are holding it at the moment though.

DNF is pretty much beyond fucked at this point.
Anything they release that falls short of transcendence won't live up to the hype. They're going to have to reinvent gaming as we know it for people to take the game seriously.
It's probably best for all concerned that the game die silently in some corner of somebody's basement.

Instead of Duke Nukem Forever, Take-Two Interactive should start fresh and produce Duke Nukem Right Now. I think they would release faster, it's all psichology.![]()

This is probably very good for Duke. I'm sure Take 2 will actually do something with the IP now. 3D realms have basically just been wasting it.

The original Duke Nukem (i.e., the 2D side-scrolled) was one of the first games I played. Not a particularly ambitious premise for a game, but it works.
