Zerg are underpowered part deux

You are not going to believe it, but it is true. I am seriously considering changing my race. This is, however, understandable: you must realize that I have not only moral responsibility to my fans, but a much more real, financial responsibility to my employer.

I do not just play Starcraft 2 for fun, it is my JOB. The image and the popularity of the team depend on my results, and so I must do whatever is necessary to make my team the best. Unfortunately, in the present balance situation regarding Zerg, I cannot achieve good results for my team. Blizzard's inaction only further fuels the fire.

Because of these reasons, unless there is at least an announcement of the new patch after GOM TV Global Starcraft II League and IEM Global Challenge Gamescom, I am going to switch from my precious Zerg to the more successful Terran.

I really want at least a small balance change, but so that your game does not have to depend solely on the mistakes of your opponent. I want fair play. Hopefully, I will not have to take such extreme measures.

Did he outline exactly what he thinks the problems are and how to fix them?

I like Dimaga and respect his opinion and stance, but unless I hear solid explanations about his position he just sounds like Idra.

Ive only heard two of 100+. There needs to be more consensus.

I agree with them Zerg is lacking, but we need a more solid outline of exactly what the problem is.

Solid explanations? You probably wont find many, just the facts that terran is doing really well at high lvl play vs zerg.

But remember that his opinion of balance is diffrent from ours, since we are not able to play at the full capacity of the races like dimaga and his opponents.

Maybe starcraft 2 is balanced well at the moment for us, but if we bring it to players with insane apm and skills, something will be diffrent.

I play random but play protoss most of the time

Anyways ive had no problems with them and sometimes ive even been destroyed by some zerg players. I just think players that are usually zerg dont understand the race. Like spawning larva and overrunning the opponent, also planting creep zergs speed is every important to its just the little things that make them good the people dont use

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the races was a little bit stronger at high level play.

It isn't as though Terran are incredibly OP, but higher players and play ratios do seem to suggest that Zerg is lacking.

Oh well. More Zerg buffs! ^_^

i honestly thought it was Idra at first...

but really, is this really an issue where zerg lack abilites to counter the other factions or is this a another case of a player whom never uses great tools such as nydus worms to a good use...?
i can relate too zerg feeling a liiiitle lacking of some strength...
but do they really lack enough power to make them the 'inferior' race?
(btw, that 'rumored' patch comes to mind now)

Artosis is another that makes widespread claims of zerg needing buffs. I have heard of a few other high level zergs say this as well, but I cant remember who they were off the top of my head.

Top level zergs spread creep like crazy and are constantly spawning larva (hell, even mediocre diamond do these two things quite well) and they do still lose or have uphill battles.

It doesn't take a Pro gamer to list out some weaknesses.

Blocking ramps/entrances to prevent scouting is possible by Protoss/Zerg
The macro mechanic for Zerg sucks, theres no headroom for error on spawn larvae.
Those two alone are the problems I find and personally exploit to my favour in all my match ups against Zerg.

But thats not to say Zerg is horrendously underpowered. As an exclusive Terran player, mass infestors with baneling support can truly turn the battle almost instantly.
Even in Diamond, I find a lack of infestor use. They're great spell casters and can easily catch players off guard with infested terrans.

The spreading creep thing is cute but its still a joke when they can simply nydus worm from their main hatches to a forward base.
