Just curious, anyone ever find anything that goes in the third capsule in the back?
SC2 handle - "DrakeyC, code 929"
I ARE A PROPHET! I've predicted three major aspects of SC2 correct, more or less.
June 2007 - I predicted the Protoss campaign would give you new tech as you conducted diplomacy among tribes.

Maybe it's foreshadowing a third alien race? :P

That's the thought I had. Almost every background object in the Hyperion can be interacted with at some point. So what's the third capsule for? Maybe just decoration, but I'm not sure. Maybe there's another secret hidden in the campaign waiting to be found that'll fill it up.

Or foreshadowing Hybrid genetic specimen. BTW think blizzard open up extra Hyperion storymode environments including Research Labs (Two, Three, Four etc. If any exist), sick bay, old armory/engine room, prison cells, and ship's main/multi 'adjutant chamber(s)'?

I don't think anything goes there. If we return to the Hyperion in the future, either display a new lab or a different perspective, showing everything else we haven't seen.

The different perspective is a possibility. The Protoss and Zerg capsules are numbered 6 and 7, the empty capsule is 1, so there's definitely more to the lab since obviously there are four more capsules in there somewhere.
