Thread: Thanks to Blizzard's hard work, we'll never see this!

As long as its in reason, I don't mind map censorship. I'm tired of signing onto B.net for SC1 and seeing a list full of "Strip *character*" maps.
    SC2 handle - "DrakeyC, code 929"

I ARE A PROPHET! I've predicted three major aspects of SC2 correct, more or less.

June 2007 - I predicted the Protoss campaign would give you new tech as you conducted diplomacy among tribes.

    Hidden Content:
July 18th 2010 - I predicted Raynor would broadcast information of Mengsk's actions on Tarsonis to discredit him and incite rebellion.

    Hidden Content:
June 16th 2010 I predicted the Voice in the Darkness was the commanding force behind the Hybrids. I'm calling it half-right.

How do you play said map with friends though? Or anybody at all, actually? I can understand Blizzard not wanting to distribute it, but it becomes a bit flawed when there is no other alternative.

They're pointless when the internet is full of porn. Although, I guess it gives you a sense of achievement by earning it, rather than just going to a site. From what I've heard, anyway...
I really need to change this...
Check out my maps: Maul's Spirial Turret Defense and Maul's Risk: Bel'shir

Yeah, some word censorship is just ridiculous. Maybe Blizzard should have actually made the game 18+, instead of 7+.

    I miss maps like:
    Strip Kerrigan defence
    Strip XXX

censorship in games is retarded, the game should be rated M or 18+
so that little boys wouldn't fap to maps ...officialy

Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up

Of course blizzard isn't the one making the age requirement. Problem is they broadened their target market and shot for a teen rating instead of a mature rating so that they could sell more games.
Anyone else notice how totally devoid the single player campaign is of mature content? (no I'm not talking sexual content.) There is nothing even remotely close to something like when Admiral DuGalle committed suicide at the end of Broodwar. Every time the game got remotely serious blizzard decided it was time for a joke too. I't really alienated me. I was expecting something in the same dark, serious and mature tone. But instead I got hit in the face with the sack of garbage they decided to call a story. I don't think blizzard cares though, since they keep getting good reviews and they're selling a ton of copies. All my hope is gone for the expansions to be any better.

SC/BW was rated T as well. Several mature games are rated T. It's Blizzard's choice that SC2's story was less mature than SC/BW.

The language though is pretty profane at times. Also sex is more than implied MANY times. Strange with the violence though, since that's what's most ignored on american TV compared to the other two. (Maybe the gaming industry has changed in the last 10 orso years.)

I really miss scenes like the SC1 intro with the guy's head exploding and the cinematic with the bleeding arm in space still holding a cigarette, or the marine in "The Amerigo" who gets a Zerg tail through his head (while drinking a beer, hehe.)
Those cinematics really created a dark, yet amazing mood.

You don't see DuGalle's head when he shoots himself. It's just hinted at. There is a huge difference in rating there.
