    This is the same reason bungie never allowed a true symbol editor for Halo games. They knew penises would be the instant result. As it is people use the grenade or number 8 and block background to look like testicles or the head of a penis. I really don't care about this kind of control. For Americans your right to free speech doesn't extend into the map editor. Blizzard owns anything you create in it so it's their right to decide what's fit for their service.

    Though the censorship of words is excessive. Someone said they tried to make a map with a unit named "Godzilla" and it got rejected because 'Godzilla" contains the word "God".

    i think it should be possible to chech unchech such maps, much like you chech unchech the mature language filter. maybe make it abit more complicated through the battle.net user account interface.

    adult 18+ up players should have the possibility to use some bizzare maps with all kinds of stuff like in the amazing cartoon Asfastasican made a link to.

    if they want to

    I was expecting it not be used for censor ship over the copy right terms of Godzilla or something... but not God.

    I 100% agree that when we are protected from words like black things have gone too far. However I'm much more concerned about my rights outside of battle.net. If they want to go censor happy, whatever. People have attempted lawsuits over much sillier things so I can understand their desire to protect themselves.

    @Hammy
    My wife actually chides about my eyerolling habits regularly. They are quite out of control.

    I didnt realize they had stepped up the controls that much. I know that they removed a tank defense that had the layout of a swastika or something (which I didnt really mind them doing tbh)... but preventing a map because it contains God in it?

    Someone can give you a custom map blizzard does not have to distribute it. They provide a service, they don't want to tarnish their brand. So if you want one of those maps just go download it from a third party map hosting website.
