    I see, that means Spore Cloud is basically a neutral zone that can be used against the Zerg player if the enemy gains dominate ground control at that territory... but the placement is determined by the Zerg player himself, for his advantage... a good ability indeed.

    On the black mask part, it'll still show the red grid if unexplored.

    It sounds like what Aldrius says... it probably creates an area of tall grass/smokestack that blocks line of sight. Which is awesome. I wonder if the art is going to stay orange or if its going to be some other color... is that an odd thing to wonder about?

    Not at all, I'd prefer it to be black/gray/smoke like, with a slight purple coloration (Creep variant, anyone?).

    That was my thought... purple has always been the Zerg's 'color', barring note of team color anyway. Perhaps its time to push that even further and make spell effects match the color scheme too. I always thought orange dark swarms were kinda psychedelic...

    It doesn't make any sense not to be able to build on black mask. And there is no black mask in SC1. So there's no precedent. :P

    There is the unexplored fog and the explored fog, I was talking about unexplored, total black fog that was in SC1 :P

    It's not in SC2. :P

    There's explored, fog of war, black mask (semi-transparent, darker than fog of war but still visible) and unexplored (completely black, doesn't exist in WC3 melee and I don't think SC2.)

    Then I believe the pre-explored black fog will restrict building placement, but unit-explored black fog will not :P
