The AI knows about how much resources the user gathered, and if the user produces Marines then the AI produces Hydralisks to counter
:O ? Hm so Hydras>Marines? Sounds strange but ok :S

Hydras always beat marines. Marines only win in BW because they have medics.
Terran campaign is currently 20 missions including "missions where you're trying to defend an infested colony. We've got missions where you control a single Ghost, trying to change the tide of a war. We've got missions where you're battling on ancient forbidden space platforms, trying to steal artifacts from under the nose of fanatical Protoss."
Only 20 missions? I mean, the missions sound great but I was hoping for 25 or so.

The Hercules-class Dropship can carry three Thors into battle.
Nice! Glad to see Blizzard also realizes that in real life there are often more than just a single version of things.

All in all, great wrap up.

They did say that there would be "interlude" missions involving Zerg and Protoss interspersed throughout the Terran campaign.

hmmmm 20 missions... That's 10 less than the original sc or wc3. Maybe the missions will be longer though and maybe 20 doesn't include side quest missions.

    next interview with dustin: http://starcraft2.net.pl/portal/sc2/...aft2netpl.html

Polish Starcraft 2 fansite starcraft2.net.pl got a great video interview with Starcraft 2 lead designer Dustin Browder. I highly recommend watching this interview as Dustin talks Starcraft 2's direction towards the next generation of eSports; about current play testing and the future beta, about cool things in the single-player campaign like an Infested Terran vampire mission, mineral bases in lava etc etc...

Wow, never seen Browder speak so candidly before.

And thanks to him for confirming what I've been saying for like half a year. They're not rigged!!

Great interview, thx Element. Nice to have confirmation on Infested Terrans being consumed corpses that are regurgitated.

I really enjoyed that interview. It's nice to see devs and designers in a more "human" element.

P.S. Last year at blizzcon, they were saying there would be 25-30 missions. Either they only have 20 missions so-far, or they have changed their mind a little bit and gone with 20 missions. I'd be a little sad if they skimped on the number of missions somewhat.
I'm so bad at SC, but I love it so much!

I think he was mostly doing it because the people interviewing him couldn't speak very good English. (Being a Polish website)

It winds up being pretty funny, though.

It might be story missions vs. side missions.
