In SC, GG is supposed to be said by the loser of the match, when he's retiring from it. Said by the winner is like saying "dude, you lost already, leave!".
Imagine the same situation in a chess match. Not very good mannered, huh?

Just had a match where I got FAST ling rushed, and couldn't stop it. So the guy called GG for me, before taking out really any SCVs. So, to spite the GG, lifted off all of my buildings, and I'm currently waiting for him to tech to anti air, and find my CC and 2 barracks. Figured I'd post this up while I'm waiting for him to do that.

It very much depends on the situation; however, I'm am of the opinion that it's best to allow the opponent to give up the gg on their own. Most people know when they have lost...some just don't want to accept it. They really want to force you to destroy every single building and force an ending. That's alright by me...doesn't it help your final score?
Side note: The other day...I did a Thor rush against another Terran with SCVs autoreparing and one dropship to heal the scvs and just plastered a poor guy. He actually gave me a "BG"!? My first ever.
I guess for some people, any game they lose is a bad game.![]()
