People Calling GG for You...

Anyone else ever get this? For example, I just played one of the non ranked matches as zerg, just for fun. And, as my opponent was whipping out my drones, and I made a last ditch effort to counter attack him knowing I had no other option. At this point, he called GG for me. Maybe I'm missing something, but I personally find this so incredibly rude. Anyone else ever encounter this at all?

I'm a bit torn on this. Sometimes a person will just sit there and watch their buildings die like this is beta videos and every second counts. So sometimes I'll say GG to remind them that they need to leave. Usually, a person snaps out of it and leaves with no insult. However, there are people who call GG when they, say, get a Dark Templar into your base and think they won. This happened to me in a placement match. I did the typical infantry with Ghosts. I had about three ghosts and a lot of infantry. I gauged about how much a Diamond player would have at that moment if I could counter it. Then, a Dark Templar started to attack my SCVs and the fool said "GG no re". I *faceplamed* to myself, EMP'd the Dark Templar, killed it, and the proceeded to annihilate his base.

So, if it's obvious that you can't win don't take offense to a GG but if there's a good chance you can win and they're just being idiots then take it for what it is: idiots being idiots.

Ask them, "how so?" then react accordingly.

I absolutely despise it just because of how smug it is. Personally when this happens its some nub in like silver who thinks he's won the game and when he loses i troll him hard, dancing units, insulting his intelligence hell once i even warped in JD (for Jdaws) in pylons in his main.

LOL, is this really a big deal? When i am winning and the other player dosen't understand it I usually say "GG?" Is that so terribly rude?
Now, I've never lost after saying that, but if i would. Isn't that just the greatest feeling for my opponent? He could just laugh at my face all he wants.

When someone says "GG" to me when their winning, I don't rage, I say "GG" simple as that.

It's just customary to allow your opponent to say "GG" when they have lost.

Personally it irritates me but i just cool my self by saying this simple phrase "I won already? "

Personally, I think it's bad-mannered to say 'GG' even when you know your opponent has no chance of coming back.

Loser always types out first, that's my personal belief. Otherwise, it just comes off as: "I've won and there's nothing you can do about it." If someone wants to stay in a game when they've already lost, that's their prerogative.

This only happed to me once. I just sent out a few drones and told them to build 2/3 hatches at awkard locations before alt-tabbing. I don't even know if they got there, but I hope so
Two/three days ago though, in a diamond game, some guy massed reapers and got really cocky because he was doing well against my persistannt mass of zerglings (we were kind of both stuck at that tech level because of the constant aggression). I kept cool and just spread my creep nice and slow. Then he started saying stuff like 'so do you want me to finish it now?". I politely said yes, and then saw him move all of his reapers deep into my creep range before getting ripped appart by a mass of zerglings. Feels good to put them back in their place.
