Again regarding stuff from the books, what makes you think those aren't ideas cooked up by Blizzard's lore team for StarCraft 2 that they just told Golden to use on their books?
Decepticons, transform and rise up!

The sounds are horrendous. Really poorly put together imo. The protoss are both hard to understand and very similar to each other so that i can barely tell who is talking. Not distinctive at all.
Tychus and matt were the exceptions for me (and possibly jim). Kerrigan was awful. Zeratul was meh. Personally ill overlook it, but the old actor was superior imo and this isnt just nostalgia.
The campaign had some interesting concepts (like the stuff with the overmind) but ultimately as someone pointed out earlier, it felt like you were invincible and omnipresent. I felt like i had unlimited time to go here or there and ppl would wait for me to arrive (oh no, X needs to be rescued now, but will wait patiently until i complete 3 other missions).
I never felt like a criminal (even the propaganda was often on my side) who was being hunted. The fact that i had access to whatever the heck i wanted was kinda lame (oh ill just make a better Odin, no problem)
Multiplayer has a lot of neat features (forcefield, warp in are my favorites) but there is also a lot of stupid and boring features (50/50 upgrades, marauders being so strong, roach/hydra being strong, but boring, silly things like infested terran and 250mm cannons, storm being weak and small, lame upgrades (ex: for carrier), mothershit)
I just get the feeling that they didnt do as good a job as they could have. I would be (have been) a lot more patient if id been given the impression during beta that they had it covered, but i didnt really feel that way. They constantly were bumbling around making weird decisions.
Now i personally had a good experience with SP, but it didnt feel as good as it could have. It sure was beautiful though. 10/10 for graphics and general look (few exceptions), but about 6-7/10 for the game overall.

Tassadar's voice. That's it. Everything else is fantastic.

I don't like the lack of terrain denial like spider mines and lurkers. I don't like the lack of options for Zerg. I don't like that you can't destroy force fields except with high tier units. I don't like the cliche story which seems like more targeting teenagers than adults. I don't like the lack of chat rooms, region lock and no LAN.
Still one of the best games of all time.

I'd have to strongly disagree!
SC1 a resounding yes!
SC1.5 a resounding FAIL! This game was weak. There were minor and infrequent flashes of creativity and brilliance - times I remember were like playing SC1 the first time - but the game as a whole was a bitter disappointment. I give it ~75% (not that I'm a reviewer of any standing).
As I said in my previous post, this game (as we currently have it) would have been acceptable had it arrived 9 years ago. I am reminded of Duke Nukem Forever, where you wait for something that never really comes. It seems the wait was inversly proportional to the quality and satsifaction I got from playing it. Further, no, I'm not talking about hype, this was simply a disappointing, 'run of the mill' RTS at the end of the day.

Okay, what I don't like with WoL right? I'm sorry guys, but I have to say this:
offline mode doesn't work.
Now I can't edit while my kids are busy in the class rooms. What should I do then, hit on some moms there?
Blizzard isn't saying a thing regarding this issue, and keeps pushing complaints from tech to bug to somewhere else. If you can, please help voice out this problem, or wait till Bnet goes down for maintenance or whatever.
Apparently this is not noticed by most players, but only by select individuals who do get into no-internet areas but have time to play/use sc2 stuff.
I never would have thought something like this would happen.
Try this out:
1. Play as usual, or at least 30 seconds with an internet connection.
2. Exit sc2
3. detach internet
4. shut down pc
5. reboot
6. without connection, play sc2.
7. no profit

I think that the moments that should had been epic where managed in an anti-climatic way. For example (spoilers):
Hidden Content:
I did like very much the pre-rendered cinematics. The animation team is really good. Very good job at that.
Also, the way one can play MP with people with roughly the same skill is perfect. Just press a button and you're playing. That's excellent. The MP aspect excels.
It's not that the game is bad, but i expected more about storytelling after all this time. I don't even know what would happened without the extra time they got when the game got delayed after the BN2 team fuck'd-up.
Still, i didn't finished SP yet. Didn't have that much time to play.
What templar archives manual?![]()

I could barely hear Tassadar's voice under all the filters. And Kerrigan sounded like she talked under her breath the whole time. As Sarah I though she was pretty good.
I'll leave my voice criticisms for another thread, but let me say for the record that why didn't they use Kadass as the default High Templar?

That doesn't make any sense. Aiur is like Jesus to the Protoss. They put aside their differences with respect to the dark templar and the khalai to fight for Aiur. They would not have let colossi sit underwater. Also, the lore states that the colossi were sealed away in remote asteroids because of their destructive power, not underneath Aiur's oceans.
