yeah the diamond back is so bad ass. move and attack is so cool and the beams hurt

i hope they find a way to balance that into multiplayer later

Since we're talking about units that are not in multiplayer, is the predator any good? I took the transport instead (which is awesome for certain missions btw).

I wish the firebat, medic, goliath and wraith were in singleplayer.

    Banshee+wraith combo is nice.

But man I would love to have the firebats and just plain medics

Wish there was a research tree for each race, and you would have some research points, you can then spend on many small upgrades or one or two big ones, or something in between.

    Some special setting map setting

If I were a full time Terran player, the one unit I'd want to have is the cat you get with the zerg research points... damn that aoe shockwave is really sweet. (what's that unit called anyways? It's called the predator right? What happened to the projectile-intercepting fighter? Did they scrap that whole unit for the pdd?

The diamond back is sweet though, but it's pretty much a faster-mechanical marauder with its +armored damage...

I can't believe people are still complaining about the whole vulture/hellion thing...
The vulture felt sooo slow compared to it's BW ancestor. Not in speed but in responsiveness. It just feels sloppy to micro it around. The spider-mine system is way better though.

Overall, yeah the merc units look pretty sweet and the regular units look so mundane now that you've used the mercenaries, but then again it's good to keep the unit details simple for multiplayer.

I think it's normal peope would be falling in love with these novel single player units since they clearly aren't balanced for multiplayer. The old units they brought back were kind of 'meh' to me... I prefer the viking to the goliath, and the hellion to the vulture. And the wraith wasn't too impressive without the BW moving shot. Maybe I haven't been doing it right though.

I wonder how many people took the Predator. Once you have Firebats, Hellons, Vultures... the Predator seems silly. Especially when compared to the Hercules being an uber dropship. Because I upgraded my Medics early, I had no need for the Medevac, and the Hercules pwns.

You know which unit I loved the most?

    The SCIENCE VESSEL !

Really badass unit to have with a fleet of BCs! Auto heal means Invulnerable BCs that do MASSIVE damage after you upgrade them +3 weapons, and the D-matrix is sooo powerful! Invulnerable BCs against scourge hordes, muta/corruptor hordes, hydra hordes and massive numbers of spore crawlers is the shit!

I used BCs in all the mission thereafter getting it the first time. 3 port BCs from 1 base with auto-refineries and call-down supply depots as well as Orbital Command MULEs = incredible econ to create a fleet of BCs and you only need 4 Science vessels to keep the BCs alive

I did the same thing. I got Science Vessels solely for mobile Mech heal, and Built only Thors and BC's from that point.
