Thread: SCII: Are you happy with your edition?

Default SCII: Are you happy with your edition?

So this isn't a thread about what CE was worth or how much blah blah blah. I just want to know how you feel about what came in the box.

Personally, I put that dog tag usb in and it lit up and any doubt I had that this was sweet went right out the window. I know, simple minds...

I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

yeah...the USB's quality alone makes me happy, but seriously CE is worth it i feel like a proud blizzard supporter.

I went digital because my preorder collectors edition was taking way too long to ship.

I got my CE, and i simply love it.

Here in Denmark, it costs about 50 dollars more, and you get that awesome artbook, USB drive, the comic, the soundtracks and the DVD with developer interviews and such. In my opinion, it's well worth the price.

The thing I'm not so happy about, is that neither my Starcraft DVD, or my behind the scenes DVD works. I purchased my copy from gamestop, and i heard other people, who also purchased their copy from gamestop, had the exact same problem.

Stand and deliver, that my hamster might have a better look at you.

I got a CE and standard edition. Standard edition is the one I've installed, the CE is still in the plastic
I really need to change this...

Well, at least you can download the game client from battle.net and activate it using the serial that came with your CE.

On a side note, I really liked the Art book! It was awesome!! and it portrayed some spoilery pictures too

I have the Collectors Edition, and I definately think it was worth it.
Here's an 'impression list' from whe I received it from the postman.

    • On receiving: "Damn this thing is heavy!"
    • When opening: "Wow, cool airlock style box!"
    • Artbook was bigger than expected - It was the first thing I spent prolonged time on. Great stuff!
    • Comic: I never particularly liked the artstyle/shading. Passed (I don't own any of the comics, only novels and manga)
    • Dogtag: Slight disappointment, I knew 2GB is minimal these days, but it was the weight of it that disappointed.
    • DVD: Surprised me, there was slightly more content than I expected - Second thing I spent prolonged time on.
    • Gamebox: It was as expected - nothing great, nothing bad.
    • Manual: Disappointing but not surprising.

Overall it was the artbook and DVD that drew me to the CE - And they delivered.
The WoW themed extras (pet and avatars), didn't really interest me since I've never played any Warcraft/WoW whatsoever.

Dropsonic - That sucks. I pre-ordered mine from www.game.dk everything in order. Almost sounds like gamestop got a "defective batch". (kostede 699 kr for mig, hvad gav du?)

    I'm content with my CE.

The physical content itself is great - the flash drive, artbook, comic, and especially the box. The digital content though, like the portraits and Thor model, not really anything special. And I guess I'll need to give the OST a listen. The behind the scene stuff is spoiler worthy so I only saw a little.

From looking @ ebay I can tell I might be able to get something for my WoW pet key.
