Thread: Singleplayer: Blown Away, Content, or Dissapointed?

Well of course they don't mean the main plot.. They mean small details... Picture this, if the Supernova concept did not work, they might scrap the whole planet and Tal'darim mission for that artifact and instead make one with the zerg. They wont change the main plot. Actually I'm glad they have been creative with missions this time. The Supernova mission and the mission with the day/night cycle are really awesome.

As i said my only disappointment was the lack of new units for Protoss and Zerg.
Scout, and Scourge..Thats it?, no Reaver, Dragoon?

EDIT: I thought the Lurker was missing but it is back, it was just under Melee instead of Campaign.

    Amen!

I thought the voodoo doll scene was cute, they didn't overdo it, and after Tychus mention Tosh's interest in dolls to build him up as uber-freaky, seeing it played for laughs, having Tychus get tossed around during an otherwise very serious scene was funny.

And Raynor's response to Ariel's talk of psionics. "Slower please. And with smaller words"

I ARE A PROPHET! I've predicted three major aspects of SC2 correct, more or less.

June 2007 - I predicted the Protoss campaign would give you new tech as you conducted diplomacy among tribes.

    Hidden Content:
July 18th 2010 - I predicted Raynor would broadcast information of Mengsk's actions on Tarsonis to discredit him and incite rebellion.

    Hidden Content:
June 16th 2010 I predicted the Voice in the Darkness was the commanding force behind the Hybrids. I'm calling it half-right.

The writing for Vermillion was absolutely retarded. I didn't buy any of his lines.

Some of the dialogue is downright terrible. Zeratul in particular was annoying to listen to, with the way he commentated everything along to the last detail as if he were talking to a child.

I'm really enjoying single player, however. Probably half way through right now and like all the options we're being presented with in regards to upgrades and researches. Plus it's fun being able to choose your missions instead of progressing in a linear fashion.

Can't wait to get home and continue the story!

Yeah, I didn't get that. For gameplay purposes of course, Zeratul has to explain to the new players "hey, check out my uber skills, here's how cloaked and detector units work!", but couldn't they just have pop-up tips like they did in the first game explain that? Or like that Protoss guy he meets go "Zeratul, be careful for up ahead *blah blah blah*" and Zeratul replies "no prob, I can *blah blah blah*" Would have been much less awkward.

I can only surmise Zeratul is going senile that he has to constantly talk to himself and remind himself of stuff he already knows.

Who remembers that homestarrunner where he is like "I musst fufffilll the profecy!" I was reminded of that every single time :P

All in all I think Zeratul is probably one of the better voice acting. Raynors acting in the begining of the caimpaign (and just the whole awkward intro in general) does terrible terrible damage to the immersion.

My feelings right now: campaign isn't worth a decade long wait.

I have to agree actually. The campaign is good, and its fun, but worth ten years of anticipation? No. But to be fair, what game *is* worth that long of a wait?
