It's pretty much what I thought it was going to be.
The missions are standard fare for an RTS. Collect this, defend that, defend here, attack this, etc etc. Most of the time the mission revolves around massing a huge amount of units then just a-moving where ever the McGuffin is. Upgrades are cool and all, but as long as you use your credits, you'll be fine. So far, I haven't really been challenged, even on Brutal. If you know how to do a proper SimCity, most attacks are worthless against you.
The story is okay. I wish there was an option for subtitles because there is no way to understand Tosh during a mission and Finley is sometimes difficult to understand with background noises going off. Other than that, it's full of cliches, stereotypes and the plot never really pulls any surprises. I'm about 8 missions in, so this may change later on.
Overall, I'd give it a 4 out of 10 for the singleplayer, but I generally don't like RTS singleplayer games.
