On the "Computer" icon, right-click > properties.

Most of your pertinent specs are there.

For more details, you can open Device Manager from the same screen to find out your GPU, and just double-clicking that "computer" icon on your desktop gives you HDD space.

Also, google is your friend for a slew of hardware diagnostic freeware on the interwebz

    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00 GHz
    Installed memory (RAM): 2.00 GB
    System type: 32-bit Operating System

156 GB free of 286 GB

Think I'll be fine or is there some other info I have to find for you to judge that?

What video card do you have? You can find it under "Computer" > r-click "Properties" > "Device Manager" > "Display Adapters"

And is it Windows XP, or Windows 7 you have there?

Video card will determine what settings you can run the game on.

Also, did you check the first post of this thread?
The link there diagnoses all aspects of your hardware to see if you can run SC2.

Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM1.0) is the videocard.

Running Windows 7 Ultimate, and to the post on the first page, I tried but need the admin password to run in, and unfortunately I'm not an admin, parental controls =\.

    Oo.

Well, based on your posted specs, you can only run the game on low settings, but you can definitely run it. If you can pony up the cash later on, you may want to think of updating your videocard to something a little bit more modern, but it seems you have an OEM pc, which means a lower-quality/rated PSU that you may need to change when you do get a new videocard.

But, immediately, SC2 will run fine on Low. You may TRY medium settings, or custom Low-Medium settings, but you will have to experiment yourself to find the best setting with the least amount of compromise.

    Good Luck!

I did the can you run it thing and it said that I meet all of the suggested requirements except for my graphics card (ATI mobility radeon HD 5470) which only meets the minimum requirements. I have never really used this PC to play games and I was wondering how my gameplay experience will change with this under powered graphics card. Should I still purchase SC2 or do I need to consider upgrading my graphics card first? Thanks in advance for the help.

They sell these boards in mATX for like $120 or so.

My own rig is very old. This is my set up, and I am set up to run SC2 in Ultra

CPU : AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+ 2.3 GHz (old school 1st generation dual core)
    MOBO: M2A-VM Asus with AM2 socket (939pin?)
    RAM: 6GB DDR2 @ 667MHz
    VIDEOCARD: nvidia EVGA GTX260 core 216 (OC'd to 720MHz core/1193 MHz VRAM)
CASE: NZXT Zero 2 with 7 x 120mm fans hooked on it
    PSU: Antec Earthwatts EA500 500W 80+ certified
    Hitachi 500GB HDD

Lol, sorry - that's what i get for not reading the whole part of the thread ^^ - I thought he said he currently HAD a phenom x4

    You should look into overclocking that 4400+ ...I have a 3800+ OC'd from 2.0 to 2.5

Just FYI, and this may have been mentioned, the game can run comfortably on low setting even if some components don't meet minimum requirements. My friends computer was a real cheapy. It has a semperon processor in it, but we got him up to 3gigs of ram and a decent graphics card and he runs the game at 25-30 fps on a mixture of low/medium settings. Of course just because it works for him doesn't mean I'd recommend buying the game and just going for it. See if you can get a guest pass and mess around with that. My buddy was in the beta so we knew it would work out ok for him, but if he'd told me his specs I'd have told him to forget it.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

The game will run relatively well VERY under spec I've run the game on my netbook (HP mini 311) it has an Intel Atom at 1.6ghz coupled with a Geforce 9400 - The CPU is definitely the bottleneck, but starcraft 2 runs at 10-15 FPS, and with a minor overclock - I've seen it run at 35-40 FPS

I think it's relatively safe to say that if you have a 2.0ghz processor with Hyper Threading, the game won't run TOO terribly
