This is a thread to stir up memories for the members who have been here forever, and to educate the young'uns.
Let's take a look back at how far SC2 has come.
Remember how much we complained when we heard the Reaver was axed for the Colossus? Remember when we heard the Firebat was moved to the Factory, before it was just cut outright? Remember when Siege Tanks had lips?
Remember the Soul Hunter? I'm sure a few of you have repressed the memories but they were there. Remember the Cobra, the Vulture replacement that attacked on the move and took out slow armored units? Remember When the Queen evolved with the Hatchery, Vikings came from the Factory, and Thors were built out in the field? Remember when Photon Cannons could move around like the Zerg colonies?
Remember that for a time, ANYTHING we didn't like about where the game was going, was Dustin Browder's fault?
Who here remembers that day long ago when the first announcement came, for some of us it was midnight, for some just after, and were kept looking at all the gaming websites for any shred of info on what the long-anticipated announcement was...and the whoop of joy that woke up the household when we found out for the first time.
So yeah, this is a thread to look back and give your thoughts on the long, long way we've come since the first announcement vid. And looking back, any old wounds still hurting? Any decisions made during development you didn't like then and still don't care for now? What are your thoughts on the long, long journey SC2 and its fans have taken since that day waaaay back when?
