    Default Protoss vs. Alien Grey

So. Who is your favorite psychic brain alien?

    Protoss:

    vs

    Grey:

But seriously, I'd love to see some sort of SC2 cinematic of a grey vs. a Protoss. Or a grey being abducted by a Protoss & experimented on for a change. Or how about a saucer getting sucked up via tractor beam into a mothership? That would be sick. :P

Seeing as we have no knowledge of the society of the so-called "Greys," let alone knowledge of their military power, its impossible to determine who would win in a full scale war.

However, based upon every interpretation of them we've seen, from Independence Day to their love for anal probes and cows, I'd have to give the edge to the Protoss.

I used to be terrified yet fascinated by Greys. They still give me the creeps sometimes.

But the Protoss are the definite winners. Unless we count in the Grey's allies/masters, the shapeshifting Reptillians --

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

Protoss, just because they have the advantage of Dark Templar technology

Interesting point with the SG Asgard. I think they'd be about on-par with the Protoss in technology, so once it came down to pure brute force, fist to fist, the Protoss would win easily.

X-Files grays are even scarier. They can shapeshift. And heal (others and self). Even their blood causes fatal allergic reactions!

But they're not immune to bee stings. Odd that.

Well, the first thing I thought of when comparing was: Have we ever seen the Grays blow up/incinerate entire planets before in any form of media?

I do not believe so. Knowing this, and knowing that the Protoss would resort to this if they felt threatened enough, I'd have to give the edge to the 'toss. Plus, dimensional recall anyone?

Now here's a more interesting question, I think:

Zerg Swarm or Grays? They're so different that it makes an interesting match-up.

And let's say The Overmind is running the show.

Well, like I said before, we have to give some definition to the Greys. Are we going by what we've seen in movies? Are they lorded over by the Reptillians? Are they the host of Shadow People (extradimensional entities)? Do they possess such psychic phenomena as telepathy and remote viewing? How much of the Grey "mythos" to include?
