In the Raiders' circle of power, Findlay serves as Raynor's enforcer. He's best placed to serve as a physical representative as well as a field commander whenever one is needed whilst Raynor is otherwise occupied/needed elsewhere/not wanted for plot reasons.

On a more meta level, Blizzard invested heavily in promoting the character and seems to be continuing to do so with Goldie's new book (Devil's Due). Continuing to invest in a character would only make sense if they had further plans for him, be it in games or future merchandise.

But it doesn't make sense. If Tychus told Raynor about the deal, playing Mengsk wouldn't be necessary since there's no way they would have been able to keep Kerrigan a secret and use Tychus as a spy or whatever. There is no gain in that?!

There is more dialog than just what is in these cutscenes.

Yeah I doubt that this is the entire collection. There are probably a slew of different cut scenes spliced inbetween parts of the game. Not to mention the entire RTS engine part of the single player.

With regards to HotS, I suspect Kerrigan still retains control of a few Zerg (perhaps what remnants are on Char?). Blizzard has previously mentioned that the campaign will feature Kerrigan progressively getting stronger over the course of the campaign; which works as she slowly rebuilds her broods.

As for possible antagonists, could this be a reason why Blizzard decided to re-canonise Stukov's resurrection despite initially disavowing it? Could Stukov, still obsessed with rejoining the Swarm, be controlling a faction of Zerg? Or, maybe Kerrigan seeks him out to help her recover?

As I described above, my thoughts about it were based on Findlay's potential function in the story as well as his place in Blizzard's marketing strategy.

I believe that Raynor probably didnt kill Tychus since not only does Raynor care a lot about his friends, but he also seems to be a good buddy of Tychus. Also Blizzard puts a lot of effort into the backstory between them, and there is the additional black screen the fact that we never saw what he shot, we dont even here Tychus die/dying words/a scream. Also Tychus could pop up later in the series to help Kerrigan or Raynor when there in a bad situation or become an infested soldier.

I also noticed that Findlay seemed to be a comic relief.
In the scene with Tosh and Nova he clearly was...

Precisely. Findlay strikes me the type of character that would have one final smart ass remark to say between the fatal shot and actual death. Plus, he's a relatively major character. And since this is fiction, major character deaths are often more hammed up than that.

Deinfestation? Really? I was really hoping for something more than that, especially considering deinfestation was the MOST obvious and predictable ending POSSIBLE.
