Yeah, most likely. At first I almost thought it was Tychus when Raynor reached for the dog tag lol.I think it's just a crew member from the Hyperion.

It apears Michel Koiter, is a Blizzard illustrator who passed away during the development.

#19 was a little bit cheesy IMO
The start showing the bodies, and Ranyors speech were supposed to show how miserable, beaten and demoralized the troops were - But it was kinda hard to feel anything for a bunch of faceless characters that all look alike. :-/
At least "M. Koiter" is one of Jim's guys, who we might get to know better earlier in the game.
*Edit* Okay, didn't realize he was a Blizzard guy who passed away - So I'm guessing it was only inserted for that video. (Ie. not a character we'll run into)

Well, in becard roo IIRC Xelnaga stuff sucked out protoss and zerg but left humans unharmed. That's probably what the artifact does, suck zerg and protoss out of a planet. Else, if it is focused on a single target part human part zerg, the unknown could happen.

So guys, what can we conclude from what we've saw so far?
Raynor is bitter, gets talked to by Matt, becomes badass rebel, collects artifacts, goes through the middle where there are probably possible outcomes like whether Ariel dies or not then confronts Valerian. This leads us to near the end of the game where the artifact gets assembled.
And we will have to wait and see to know what it does.

Michel Martin Koiter (3 May 1984 – 18 March 2004) was one of Blizzard's premium artists. He was known under the name of "Twincruiser", an artistic collaboration with his twin brother René Koiter.
I dont think he participated in the Sc2 developement. Still nice to make a new memorial for him though.
